Alternatively, you might purchase the 2022 Genesis G90 for less money and invest your savings in your preferred hedge fund. The G90 cossets with the best of them thanks to its roomy, luxuriously upholstered cabin, and its silky-smooth V-6 and V-8 powertrains both pack a powerful punch.
The G90's relatively outdated infotainment system, which lags behind the more contemporary options in the German saloons, may be the lone drawback. However, there are many common driver-assistance functions, and the G90's regal style makes it look like every bit of the part it's supposed to play.

At retail, the 2022 Genesis G90 costs $73,950. The 5.0 Ultimate model starts at $77,700, but that is for the base 3.3T Premium trim. Either model can have an all-wheel drive installed for $2,500.
Which one to Purchase?
Normally, we adore a huge V-8 in a luxury vehicle, but in this instance, we'd save money and stay with the twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V-6. The so-called 3.3T is strong and almost as quick as the 5.0-liter V-8. If you need it, all-wheel drive is an option, but it raises the price by $2500.
2022 Genesis G90: Interior and Comfort
Even though the G90's style is simple, its inside offers a luxurious feel because of its Nappa leather, suede, wood, and brushed metal trim. By making items like a head-up display, heated and cooled front seats, and power-operated rear sunshade standard equipment rather than pricey extras, Genesis humiliates more expensive rivals. The luxurious back seat of the G90 is a delightful space, as befits a full-size luxury sedan. Despite what its size might imply, there is plenty of space to spread out.
The spacious trunk is your only option for storage space because neither the Genesis nor any of its rivals provide foldable rear seats. Behind the rear center armrest, there is a pass-through for carrying long, narrow goods like skis. Although its door pockets are modest in size, its center console is among the largest in its class. A smartphone fits comfortably in a convenient compartment that is located in front of the shifter.

The standard 12.3-inch touchscreen is clear and sharp, and it works well with the dashboard's hard buttons and knobs to navigate through the many options. Along with a wireless smartphone charging pad and a 17-speaker Lexicon sound system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration are both standards.
2022 Genesis G90: Engine and Performance
In our tests, the standard 365-hp turbocharged 3.3-liter V-6 engine outperformed the 420-hp 5.0-liter V-8 in terms of performance from 0 to 60 mph. Both engines come with an adaptable eight-speed automatic transmission and can be driven with the rear or all four wheels. If you don't mind the V-8's less efficient performance and unique sound, we don't see any reason to spend more on it.
The V-6 or V-8 engines in the G90 won't leave you yearning for more power, even though they don't accelerate as quickly as those in its rivals. The Genesis can feel a little sloppy as you push the speed through a road's winding sections, but quietness and comfort rule supreme. Its plush and comfortable ride brings to mind Buicks from the 1970s, though not necessarily in a negative way. It smooths down bumpy roadways and gives the highway a calm, rooted feeling. Although there is some body roll as a trade-off in corners, the hefty G90 doesn't seem like a boat at all thanks to accurate and light steering. The brake pedal is not as strong as we would like, but it is also not unduly soft.
