Since it started making high-end sports vehicles 23 years ago, Koenigsegg has kept production levels to an absolute minimum, personalized each model to meet the specific requirements of each buyer, and currently produces two identical models.

The Agera RS is a modification of the original Agera, which was first unveiled in 2010. After years of development, the RS has become the world's fastest production car and is a terrifying track weapon.

The Agera's interior is sufficiently eccentric, and while some of the switchgear is shared with other Koenigsegg models, most of the switches and dials will be foreign to anybody who isn't familiar with the brand. This is advantageous in the exclusive area where the Agera RS is located, and even before you enter, the doors' unusually swiveling dihedral synchro-helix design welcomes you.

The low-slung chairs are not quite as difficult to climb into as some other brands, and once inside, the craftsmanship is excellent. Other than the circular control dial in the middle of the dashboard, which is made primarily of carbon fiber, there isn't much else to take your attention away from the road in front of you. Although the choice of inside material is up to each customer, most RS interiors come standard with Alcantara, suede, and Nappa leather.

There is just about enough room for two people, a front trunk for minor stuff, and a roof rack that is accessible for some more storage.

How does it feel to Drive?

The suspension is tuned to maximize the available power because the RS is a focused performance vehicle that is not meant to be used as a daily driver. As the speed increases, the cabin becomes increasingly noisy from the road and the engine.

A retractable hardtop enhances the already rich sounds that follow an Agera RS driven with purpose and enables a driving experience akin to that of a Targa.

Although a racetrack and considerable talent are needed to properly utilize this level of speed, the level of available downforce makes the RS far less of a handful at the limit than you might anticipate from something this potent.

Engine and Performance

The Agera RS generates 1176 horsepower and 940 lb-ft of torque when equipped with a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8. These figures are increased by 1MW to 1360 horsepower and 1,000 lb-ft. The Agera RS accelerates to 60 mph in under 2.9 seconds and 124 mph in under 7 seconds when outfitted with the modification. This is accomplished even with a rear-wheel-drive system that limits traction; a 7-speed paddle-shift transmission is standard.

The RS presently has the fastest top speed of any road automobile ever produced at 277.9 mph, and it also holds the record for a variety of other performance criteria. Even with conventional petrol, the engine is engineered to deliver its maximum output, and in some areas, E85 ethanol can be used instead.

What choices do I have?

There are numerous options for unique equipment, there will only be 25 units made in total, and the RS's specification levels are largely dependent on each customer.

A full carbon-fiber/Kevlar bodyshell, an adjustable pedal box, and steering column, bucket seats with memory foam covers, a hydraulic lifting system, carbon-ceramic brakes, staggered 19/20-inch hollow carbon fiber wheels, and a hydraulic raising system are notable examples of standard equipment.

The aerodynamics have been improved to produce more downforce than the standard Agera, and the RS has an active rear spoiler and numerous other cutting-edge elements that were part of the One:1 development program.

An active and self-leveling package, a 3G connect Pre-Active chassis setup, active sound canceling, and several aero packages are notable examples of accessible alternatives.

Gryphon, Draken, and Naraya are just a few of the names given to specific models to further increase their exclusivity and status.
