Did anyone else catch the sneak peek of the all-new Acura Integra at the auto show this week? I gotta say, I was impressed, but nothing blew my mind quite like the holographic heads-up display (HUD).
Imagine having your speed, navigation, and even incoming call information projected right onto your windshield, seemingly floating in mid-air. It's like something straight out of a sci-fi movie!
Acura calls it the "Acura Augmented Reality Vision (AARV)" system, and it uses a projector and special lens combination to create the illusion of a 3D image. They say it's adjustable too, so you can set the information display wherever you find it most comfortable.
I'm not sure if this is the future of HUDs, but it sure is a head-turner (pun intended). What do you guys think? Is this a gimmick or a game-changer?

P.S. Anyone know if there's any info on aftermarket options for this kind of tech?
