  • 2022 Honda Civic Review: Specs and Pricing

OVERVIEW For the 2022 model year, Honda's well-liked Civic compact car receives a major facelift that includes a more mature exterior, additional amenities, and an improved interior layout. It earned a spot on our Editors' Choice list as a result of the upgrades and more. A variety of four-cylinder engines, including a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, are available; the front-wheel drive will remain the default since Honda claims that all-wheel drive is not the goal. The Civic will be able to stave off competition from models like the Hyundai Elantra, Mazda 3, and Toyota Corolla thanks to updated tech features like a larger touchscreen display, wireless smartphone connectivity, and improved driver-assistance functions. What has changed for 2022? For 2022, the Civic is completely new, with a revised body and modernized interior. The 2022 Civic will be available in both sedan and hatchback body types, the same as the previous generation model. Which one to Purchase? The well-equipped EX trim on the sedan type is what we advise because it has many more options that more than make up for the price increase. These comforts include heated outside mirrors, heated front seats, a power sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, and blind-spot monitoring. Additionally, it has a 180-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine as standard equipment. If you plan to purchase the hatchback, we advise you to consider the EX-L, which has additional leather upholstery and similar features. Pricing of the 2022 Honda Civic The 2022 Honda Civic sedan's Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is $22,350 for the LX model. The 2.0-liter naturally aspirated Civic LX sedan is anticipated to account for around 30% of Civic sedan sales. The Sport, another Civic sedan with a 2.0-liter engine, comes next. The Civic Sport starts at $23,300 and comes with 18-inch wheels and numerous other primarily aesthetic sporty features. Honda anticipates that the Sport will represent around 40% of Civic sales and be the market leader in terms of volume. The Civic EX is the entry-level model for Civic sedans with the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, which is more potent and economical than the 2.0-liter. The MSRP of the Civic EX, which is anticipated to account for around 20% of the mix, is $25,350. The Touring trim level caps the pricing of the 2022 Honda Civic sedan lineup. The MSRP of this opulent Civic in leather is $28,950. It includes a luxury 12-speaker Bose audio system, a 9-inch touchscreen screen, and a 10-inch digital instrument panel. The Civic Touring is anticipated to account for 10% of Civic sedan sales. The base LX model of the 2022 Honda Civic hatchback costs $23,350. Starting at $24,550, the Civic hatchback in Sport specification is available with a CVT or a 6-speed manual transmission. The price of the new Civic hatchback in EX-L specification starts at $27,050, while the price of the Sport Touring variant with a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT is $29,850. Starting at $27,300, the new 2022 Honda Civic Si is available. The 2022 Honda Civic's destination fee is $1,015. 2022 Honda Civic: Interior and Comfort For 2022, Honda has made interior changes to the Civic. The spacious cockpit, which has a great outside view and an instrument panel with an analog speedometer and a digital tachometer, is dominated by straight lines. However, the instrument panel of the Civic Touring features a 10.2-inch, all-digital LCD screen that can be customized. With bar graphs flanking the middle of the full-color screen, it can appear totally modern or traditionally styled with circular gauges and the necessary markers. The driver information center in the middle of the dashboard displays a range of data, including the current music playlist, trip computer information, and the status of several safety and driving assistance systems. The new Honda Civic car and hatchback's interior are simple but elegant. A honeycomb metal mesh strip that runs the length of the dash is one of the most distinctive features. It divides the music system from the information displays and climate controls and hides air vents that would otherwise clutter the dash's appearance. Regarding the seats in the new Civic, Honda claims they are built on a structure of a new generation that increases occupant comfort on extended rides while offering ample of support. The Civic sedan's trunk has a 14 cubic-foot capacity. The rear seat of the Civic hatchback splits 60/40 and folds forward to expand the cargo space by an additional 24.5 cubic feet. The hatch opening is now 1.6 inches wider than it was on the previous Civic hatchback. The new 2022 Honda Civic hatchback features a wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto-enabled 9-inch touchscreen as an option, or a 7-inch touchscreen as standard, similar to the 2022 Honda Civic sedan. The new Civic Si has body-hugging sports seats with built-in headrests and wider supports for the shoulders and thighs because of its athletic capabilities. To lessen leg stress on lengthy rides, the front seat cushion has been elevated by 0.5 inches. The Si interior features sports pedals, red stitching, and a 7-inch color instrument panel with a physical speedometer dial on the right and a digital tachometer on the left. Honda claims that the 12-speaker Bose audio system that comes standard with the Si is the best factory system in Civic Si history. 2022 Honda Civic: Features 7- inch Touchscreen The 7-inch color touchscreen is the largest standard screen in Civic history and is available on the Civic LX, Sport, and EX. It has a volume knob (yeah!) and a tuning knob (double yes!) in addition to a bottom row of buttons that let you choose media sources like Apple CarPlay or Android Auto or control the audio. Even though the highest Civic, the Touring, has a 9-inch screen, it lacks a station knob. Premium sound from Bose There are superior Bose audio systems with digital signal processing that are available for the touring models of the new Civic. The 12-speaker system has an 8-inch woofer in the back deck and is the first time Bose audio has been used in a Civic. 2022 Honda Civic: Engine and Performance The powertrain options from the previous version of the Civic were kept, even though Honda completely rebuilt the new Civic. Base models come with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 158 horsepower while the upgrade engine is still a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged that now produces 180 horsepower. The only front-wheel-drive model of the new Civic is available. Unfortunately, the six-speed manual transmission that was available on the hatchback edition of the previous generation Civic sedan has been eliminated for 2022, leaving just a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) as an option. Our turbocharged Touring sedan reached 60 mph at our test track in 7.5 seconds, which is a little longer than the previous generation Civic. The manual Sport Touring hatchback we tested performed marginally better, reaching 60 mph in 7.3 seconds. Fortunately, this model retains the nimble handling, responsive steering, and well-balanced ride that we loved so much about the previous generation model. Additionally planned are sporty Si and powerful Type-R models, both of which will come with a manual transmission.

  • 2022 Mercedes Benz S-Class Maybach Review: Specs and Pricing

OVERVIEW The 2022 Mercedes-Maybach S-class succeeds in out-luxuriously the Mercedes-Benz S-class, which is no easy feat. This super-luxury car provides more high-end goodies than we can list and is a worthy competitor to the Bentley Flying Spur and the Rolls-Royce Ghost. A V-8 and a V-12 twin-turbo engine is available, and all variants have all-wheel drive. Given its expanded body and optional massaging and reclining rear seats, which entice passengers to unwind and live their best lives, it is perfect for chauffeuring. In contrast to its competitors' more eye-catching exteriors, the Maybach S-restrained class's style allows it to blend into traffic without garnering too much notice. What has changed for 2022? The S680 4Matic sedan, a V-12 engine option, is added to the Maybach roster for 2022. The large limo is supposed to accelerate to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds thanks to the V-12 engine's 621 horsepower. According to Mercedes-Maybach, some 2022 models that are typically supplied with V-8 engines won't be available. This lineup modification might affect the S580, however, Mercedes-Maybach personnel would not comment on or confirm that information as of the time of publication. Which one to Purchase? If you're going to choose a Maybach S-class, you might as well go all out and choose the S680 with its potent V-12 engine. Luxury amenities like soft-close doors, air suspension, a 30-speaker Burmester radio, a rear-seat entertainment system with two 11.6-inch touchscreens, and many other features are included as standard equipment. 2022 Mercedes Benz S-Class Maybach: Interior and Comfort The already roomy Benz-branded S-class sedan has a wheelbase seven inches shorter than the Maybach S-class, which results in even more stretch-out space inside the leather-lined interior. A 64-color interior ambient lighting system, heated and ventilated front seats with massage functions and four memory settings, heated rear seats with power adjustments and massage, an air ionizing system with a signature fragrance, and a panoramic sunroof are all standard on Maybach models, among a plethora of other luxurious features that we could not possibly list here. For customers who plan to be chauffeured, Maybach offers the optional Executive Rear Seat Plus package, which features temperature-controlled cup holders, more rear seat wood trim, an extended center console, and folding tables for the backseats. Electrically controlled rear doors, a refrigerator, and champagne glasses bearing the Maybach logo are additional options. 2022 Mercedes Benz S-Class Maybach: Connectivity The Maybach is equipped as standard with the most recent MBUX infotainment system from Mercedes, which is presented on a 12.8-inch OLED touchscreen. All models come equipped with an augmented reality navigation system that shows clear video directions on both the infotainment display and the vehicle's head-up display. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is also standard. Standard features include wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, six USB-C ports, a 30-speaker Burmester sound system, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and a rear-seat entertainment system. 2022 Mercedes Benz S-Class Maybach: Engine and Performance Every S580 sedan has a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine that produces 496 horsepower. It also has a 48-volt hybrid system. With the S680, a 6.0-liter V-12 with 621 horsepower is installed. The 4Matic all-wheel drive technology from Mercedes will be standard on all variants. Based on our quick test drive, the V-8 has 33 more horsepower than the previous S560 from 2020, and it has a lot of power. The V-12 has the same amount of power as the 2020 S650 model and lacks a 48-volt hybrid technology. We haven't had an opportunity to evaluate the performance of either model, but when we do, we'll update this article with our findings and driving impressions. A silky, ultra-quiet ride is made possible by the new model's standard air suspension and active noise reduction technology. The S-class also has rear-wheel steering, making it easier to maneuver this large sedan through congested city streets. 2022 Mercedes Benz S-Class Maybach: Pricing The 2022 Mercedes S-Class Maybach is priced at $185,950 for the S580 4Matic and S680 4Matic is priced at $230,050.

  • 2022 Mercedes Benz GLS Maybach Review: Specs and Pricing

Overview The 2022 Mercedes Benz GLS Maybach, for example, offers the greatest in luxury and provides a transportation experience as rich as caviar. Under the hood is a twin-turbocharged V-8 that utilizes a standard nine-speed automated transmission to power all four wheels. The GLS600 cruises around with ease thanks to its ample power and air suspension. The GLS600's overstuffed cabin, however, which is appropriate for the genuine monarchs, sports stars, and hedge fund managers who would own one of these opulent palaces-on-wheels, is more important than its engine and chassis. The interior has a lounge-like feel thanks to Nappa leather, high-end wood, and other luxurious details. Rear seats soothe you as they recline. The GLS600's lack of a third row of seats and significantly smaller cargo area make it less practical than vehicles with the Benz and AMG brands. For those purchasers who are drawn to its sybaritic features, that won't be a problem. What has changed for 2022? The 2022 Mercedes Benz GLS Maybach hasn't seen any significant alterations in its second year on the market. That indicates that it is just as opulent, exclusive, and costly as it was the previous year. Which one to purchase? When choosing which options to order for a high-end luxury SUV, you're not likely to pay much attention to people like us. Additionally, Mercedes-Maybach is standardizing the majority of features, such as a semi-autonomous driving mode, Nappa leather upholstery, and elegant interior and exterior accents. To truly make the GLS600 your own, we advise looking through the many customizing possibilities. 2022 Mercedes Benz GLS Maybach: Interior and Comfort While the standard Benz-branded GLS-class SUV has three rows, the Maybach GLS600 has just two rows, both of which have heat and massage features. With tonnes of legroom and two power-adjustable reclining chairs, the back seats are ideal for passengers; they are comparable to first-class airline cabins thanks to their large legroom and power-adjustable seats. Although a bench with three seats crosswise is also available, this SUV is all about executive treatment. Dash, door panels, and seats are covered in Nappa leather, and real wood trim and a dapper pinstripe lend a touch of refinement. After a demanding day of being filthy rich, residents can create the sensory haven they deserve with the aid of a scent diffuser. As the back seats are immovable and cannot be folded to accommodate larger objects, the cargo space isn't as large as it is in the normal GLS class. Mercedes-Maybach will provide a gorgeous set of baggage that is specially designed for the vehicle and claims that there is still roughly 19 cubic feet of space behind the back seats. 2022 Mercedes Benz GLS Maybach: Connectivity Rear-seat passengers have two 11.6-inch monitors that can be used to stream movies or manage the music system, while the vehicle's dual 12.3-inch infotainment displays make use of Mercedes-most Benz's recent MBUX software interface. There is also a Burmester audio system that has an amazing 27 speakers. 2022 Mercedes Benz GLS Maybach: Engine and Performance 2022 Mercedes Benz GLS Maybach claims that the GLS600's twin-turbocharged V-8, which has 558 horsepower, can propel the large luxury SUV from zero to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds. A 48-volt hybrid system helps the engine by providing a little extra thrust right away. If you're looking for something even faster, have a look at the Mercedes-AMG GLS63, which has a 603-hp version of this engine and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds on our test track. We were thrilled with our initial test drive with both its silky-smooth ride quality and its assured handling. There is an air suspension as standard, and it has a Maybach mode that virtually eliminates road imperfections. 2022 Mercedes Benz GLS Maybach: Fuel Efficiency and Actual MPG The GLS600 has been rated by the EPA as having a 15 mpg city and 19 mpg highway fuel economy. Although those estimations aren't especially accurate, we're confident that high spenders who will be comparing the GLS600 against vehicles like the Bentley Bentayga and the Rolls-Royce Cullinan won't be overly worried about fuel efficiency. When we have the opportunity to test the GLS600, we'll do so on our 75-mph highway fuel efficiency test route and report back on the findings.

  • 2022 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Review: Specs and Pricing

OVERVIEW The 2022 Rolls-Royce Cullinan travels with unmatched tranquility and pampers everyone inside, as one might anticipate from an extremely costly SUV. This people mover is motivated with ease by a powerful and smooth V-12. Even if its outward appearance is on the ungainly side, the Rolls-distinctive Royce's hood ornament and enormous dimensions let observers know that it is a Rolls-Royce and that its occupants are quite wealthy. We only wish that contemporary styles, such as digital instruments, wouldn't detract from the cabin. Additionally, we would want the conventional rear seat to be more adaptable. However, Cullinan's cabin's quietness, construction quality, and ability to customize the area to the owner's tastes are unmatched. What has changed for 2022? For the 2022 model year, Rolls-Royce doesn't make any alterations to the Cullinan. It still has a twin-turbo V-12 engine with 563 horsepower (592 in the Black Badge version). The basic all-wheel-drive system is still powered by an eight-speed automatic transmission that manages gearshifts. Pricing of 2022 Rolls Royce Cullinan The base price of the 2022 Rolls-Royce Cullinan is $332,750. Which one to Purchase? The Crystal paint job, the 22-inch seven-spoke wheels, the gold-plated Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament, and the electronic tow hitch would be our choices if we could afford a Cullinan. We would get the Immersive Seating with Center Console option, which replaces the center seat with a console that also functions as a beverage cooler and comes with two champagne flutes and a whiskey decanter. This option also adds the rear seat massaging functionality. And we wouldn't miss the chance to have the Shooting Star Headliner project a fiber-optic night sky onto the fabric over our heads. To transform the back row into a peaceful refuge, we would also add the rear privacy glass and side drapes. 2022 Rolls Royce Cullinan: Interior and Comfort Box-grain leather, lambswool carpeting, gorgeous wood trim, and machined aluminum accents decorate the interior of the roomy cabin. The Cullinan's already opulent inside may be customized with practically every treat you can think of by Rolls-Royce if you want an even greater level of luxury. The only flaws in this otherwise opulent area are the conventional rear seats, which are as rigid as a park bench, and the entire digital instrument cluster, which lacks the beauty of an analog design. Customers can at least fix the latter problem by adding adjustable and massaging features to the second row's two seats. Although the car's exterior is typical Rolls-Royce, the liftgate layout allowed the manufacturer to add an optional Viewing Suite, which consists of two leather-wrapped seats and a small table that emerges from the floor to the cargo space. This is without a doubt the most opulent method to watch a polo match at the rural estate. Even though the historic British brand is breaking convention with the new SUV, Rolls-Royce remains a Rolls-Royce in every respect. 2022 Rolls Royce Cullinan: Connectivity A big touchscreen infotainment system with a backup controller is standard on every Cullinan. Every model includes Apple CarPlay. Each back of the front seat now has a 12.0-inch screen thanks to the optional rear-seat entertainment option. The Cullinan boasts an 18-speaker custom audio system in addition to a Wi-Fi hotspot. 2022 Rolls Royce Cullinan: Engine and Performance To avoid disturbing the VIPs in the cabin, the Cullinan's twin-turbo 6.7-liter V-12 engine produces 563 horsepower (592 in the Black Badge edition) and is extremely quiet. For a car that weighs roughly three tons, the one we tested reached 60 mph in under 4.5 seconds. Although buyers are likely to never wander off the road and risk damaging the paint, all-wheel drive is standard. The air suspension that supports the Cullinan automatically adjusts the vehicle's height in response to road irregularities after receiving data from a road-scanning camera. The Cullinan wafts along the road without disconcerting the passengers within, providing ride comfort that exceeds that of typical luxury cars. 2022 Rolls-Royce Cullinan: Fuel Efficiency and Actual MPG The V-12 engine in the Cullinan is capable of 20 mpg on the freeway and 12 mpg in the city. Despite popular belief, those numbers aren't the worst in their category. 12 mpg city and 17 mpg highway are the ratings for the V-12-powered Bentley Bentayga. We tested the Cullinan extensively, running it on our 75 mph highway fuel-economy route, and it performed better than expected, getting 21 mpg.

  • 2022 BMW X7 Review: Specs and Pricing

Overview The BMW 7-series sedan used to be the model most likely to serve as a personal limo, but starting in 2022, the X7 SUV will take over as the rich people's mobile palace. The largest Bimmer is ideal for wealthy families as it has six seats distributed across three rows and more real estate to display how pricey it is. The X7 drives better and has a wider range of more appealing powertrains, despite the cargo area and back seats not being as large as those in competitors like the Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Mercedes-Benz GLS-class. A 523-hp twin-turbo V-8 and a 335-hp turbocharged inline-six are included in the engine hierarchy, which is supported by an excellent automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. For such a huge machine, the 612-hp Alpina XB7 offers absurd levels of performance. The 2022 BMW X7 is an Editors' Choice winner because it boasts a ton of upmarket material, cutting-edge technologies, and an interior that is as quiet as a library yet cozier and ritzier, regardless of what's behind its big hood. What has changed for 2022? BMW only slightly modifies the X7 lineup's option packages for 2022. While upgraded Bluetooth is now required, wireless device charging is no longer, and the M50i model now has electric sunshades in place of manual ones for the second-row windows. Rear-wheel steering and the Dynamic Handling package, which includes enhanced M Sport brakes and active suspension stabilization, are no longer available separately for the xDrive40i model. Pricing of 2022 BMW X7 With a starting MSRP of $74,900, the 2022 BMW X7 is one of the more affordable SUVs in its category. Costs increase throughout the trim ladder by several competitors in the same class. The high-performance Alpina XB7 starts at $141,300, while the intermediate X7 M50i starts at $99,800. Which one to Purchase? Even if we enjoy the 523 horsepower and impressive performance of the twin-turbo V-8, we would still choose the X7 xDrive40i. Four-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable front seats with memory settings, heated front seats, a power tailgate, and other desirable standard amenities are among its appealing features. We'd also add the Premium package, which comes with a head-up display, gesture controls, and soft-close doors, as well as one of the Vernasca leather upholstery options. 2022 BMW X7: Interior and Comfort The X7's luxurious cabin, which draws inspiration from both the expensive 7-series and the smaller BMW X5 SUV, is well-appointed, tech-rich, and roomy. The cabin is also stocked with a ton of luxury options, such as heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a power-adjustable steering wheel, and ambient interior lighting. However, we found it frustrating how slowly the second-row captain's chair, which was powered, moved when trying to let passengers enter and exit the third row. Similarly, during lengthy rides, the way-back seats aren't particularly large for people. Nevertheless, nobody will bemoan the X7's generous interior cubby storage. Even though we could only cram three carry-on bags behind the third row, we were still able to fit 33 when all the back seats were folded down. 2022 BMW X7: Connectivity A fully digital gauge cluster and a huge 12.3-inch touchscreen that dominates the dashboard are just a couple of the high-tech amenities that come standard on every X7. Additionally, its entertainment system may be controlled via a sizable rotary knob on the center console as well as gimmicky gesture controls. Every model offers a Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, a 10-speaker audio system, and built-in navigation. Wireless charging and a more potent Harman/Kardon sound are optional. 2022 BMW X7: Engine and Performance The base model X7 xDrive40i has a 335-horsepower turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine, while the M50i has a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 engine with 523 horsepower. This V-8 engine has been carefully tuned to produce 612 horsepower in the Alpina XB7. All-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic are paired with all three engines. The six-cylinder engine was quiet and had plenty of torque, but the V-8 engine was more endearing and had more rapid acceleration. A smooth ride is provided by its standard adaptive air suspension, especially in Comfort mode. The X7's unfortunate propensity to lean in corners belies its generally sporty appearance. The adjustable Sport mode tightens things up a little, with sharp impacts disturbing the otherwise serene quiet inside because of the 21-inch wheels' short sidewalls. The Alpina XB7 will appeal to those who desire the strongest X7 and can afford its high asking price. The model that BMW made us maneuver around a narrow racetrack boasted astounding acceleration and displayed unexpected poise. 2022 BMW X7: Fuel Efficiency and Actual MPG According to estimates, the six-cylinder xDrive40i can achieve up to 24 mpg on the interstate and 19 mpg in the city. However, those who prefer the V-8-powered variant and want a little bit more power will have to give up some fuel efficiency. We don't presently have estimates for the Alpina model, however, the M50i is rated at 15 mpg city and 21 mpg highway. In our rigorous testing, we put the xDrive40i to the test on our 75 mph highway fuel-economy route, and we got 28 mpg. The M50i achieved 24 mpg on our actual highway test, outpacing its government rating.

  • 2022 Lamborghini Urus Review: Specs and Pricing

Overview On paper, the 707-hp Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk and the supercar-bred Lamborghini Urus with 641 horsepower each sound outclassed. However, in our annual Lightning Lap competition at Virginia International Raceway, only one of these outlandish vehicles has ever clocked a faster SUV. If you couldn't guess, it's the Lambo, which sells for almost $200,000 in total. That is the starting price for an SUV with this caliber and wild styling. The Urus has some features that the Lamborghini Aventador and Huracán do not, including a back seat, a usable cargo area, and the ability to tow. It also boasts incredible track abilities for its size. The 2022 Lamborghini Urus is without a doubt the most badass family transporter on the globe, despite its interior workmanship not being as high-quality as that of its supercar siblings and the fact that it consumes an absurd amount of gas. What has changed for 2022? Lamborghini does not significantly alter the Urus for 2022. The 641-hp twin-turbo V-8 engine still powers the super SUV together with an eight-speed transmission and all-wheel drive. The Italian carmaker is renowned for releasing special look packs and limited-edition models, either of which could be added during the model year. Pricing of 2022 Lamborghini Urus The 2022 Lamborghini Urus 4dr SUV AWD is the most affordable model (4.0L 8cyl Turbo 8A). It has a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of around $221,506 when destination fees are added. There are several models available, starting at $221,506 for a 4dr SUV with AWD and a 4.0L 8cyl engine. Which one to Purchase? Even though the Urus is the least expensive Lamborghini available, it still costs close to a quarter of a million dollars. It is also the finest value in the Italian company's lineup when you consider that it can transport more than two passengers and a substantial amount of luggage. The new Pearl Capsule look package would play off its highly extroverted flair in our suggested version. We particularly enjoy it in the Verde Mantis green color, which is contrasted by the large 23-inch wheels and black external accents. The color palette for the interior is coordinated. We would convert to the four-seat configuration, which decreases the number of passengers by one but adds heated surfaces and power adjustments for the rear seats, and we would add front seats with ventilation and massage features for further luxury. We assume that wealthy individuals would prefer not to sit three deep in the back seat. The available Off-Road drive modes, the improved audio system, the hands-free tailgate, and the rear-seat entertainment system are the additional upgrades we'd pick. 2022 Lamborghini Urus: Engine and Performance The Urus is propelled by a powerful twin-turbo V-8 that generates 641 horsepower, burbles loudly at idle, and yells uncontrollably at full throttle. Fantastic acceleration is made possible by a combination of all that power, permanent all-wheel drive, and an eight-speed automatic transmission. In our tests, the Urus smashed the quarter-mile in 11.3 seconds at 121 mph after rocketing to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds. Lamborghini predicts a top speed of 190 mph as well. From the driver's seat, the Urus has an athletic feel thanks to its fast steering and stable high-speed handling. The Urus incorporates air springs at each of its four corners, allowing for changeable ride heights depending on the selected drive mode. The Urus has standard carbon-ceramic brakes that allow it to stop at 149 feet from a speed of 70 mph. 2022 Lamborghini Urus: Interior and Comfort The cabin offers a striking interior that is distinctly Lambo. The start button is concealed by a crimson flip cover, and the shifter has the appearance of a jet fighter's throttle. Levers that manage the drive modes and enable programmable performance settings are located to the left of the shifter. While the infotainment system and reconfigurable gauges are directly lifted from an Audi, there is a ton of faux-suede and carbon-fiber decor throughout. Depending on the seating arrangement chosen, there is adequate passenger room in the back seat for two to three passengers. Utilizable door pockets and a bin behind the floating center stack highlight the interior cubby storage. The cargo space of the Urus can hold up to 22 cubic feet, although with the optional rear bucket seats, that amount decreases by 2 cubic feet. 2022 Lamborghini Urus: Connectivity The most recent connection and entertainment amenities are included in every Urus. Two touchscreens with climate, music, and other controls are integrated into the center stack in addition to a fully digital gauge cluster. Although the screens offer clear visuals and big icons, they are less user-friendly than conventional knobs and buttons.

  • 2022 BMW M5 Review: Specs and Pricing

Overview The BMW M5 of 2022 is not a subdued sedan. It's a never-ending four-wheel adrenaline ride. This four-door wonder, which is based on the standard BMW 5-series and enhanced by the brand's M division, is powered by a twin-turbo V-8 that can produce up to 627 horsepower and propels the M5 to heroic acceleration figures. Its great automatic transmission and tough all-wheel-drive system, which has a rear-drive mode for hanging the tail out, aids in the assault. Although the large sedan in BMW's M vehicle lineup seems less agile than the smaller versions, it has the athleticism and equipment to compete on a track. It gains a place on our Editors' Choice list as well. Additionally, 2022 M5's luxuriously appointed inside will make any journey delightful, whether it's to the racetrack or the lake house. What has changed for 2022? BMW expands its M5 lineup with the limited-production Competition Sport (CS) for the 2022 model year. The Bimmer's twin-turbo V-8 has been modified to produce 627 horsepower, and the CS also features special chassis tuning. The CS also benefits from numerous weight-saving techniques. According to the firm, the fastest and most potent production car in BMW history is 230 pounds less than the M5 Competition. The CS's two rear bucket seats and light, heavily bolstered M carbon fiber front seats are further standout features. Customers can add a set of free Pirelli P Zero Corsa performance tires to the CS's 20-inch wheels of bronze hue. Pricing of 2022 BMW M5 The 2022 BMW M5 4dr Sedan AWD is the cheapest model of the 2022 BMW M5 (4.4L 8cyl Turbo 8A). Its Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP), including the destination fee, is roughly $103,700. Which one to Purchase? You will have to pay $30,900 extra for the M5 CS's exclusivity and improved performance than the standard Competition. The Comp's 617 horses and list of track-capable parts would be enough for us, but the Executive package would make it a better choice. Numerous luxury and driver-assistance features are also added, such as a 360-degree video system, heated front, and rear seats, ventilated front seat cushions with built-in massagers, parking sensors on both ends, and power-operated rear window shades, self-parking assist, soft-close doors. 2022 BMW M5: Interior and Comfort Elegant sports seats with leather upholstery can be found within the M5. BMW hasn't adopted an all-touchscreen design strategy like many of its competitors, making it simple to change the radio or air conditioning while the car is moving thanks to tactile controls. Numerous desirable options, like a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and a power-adjustable steering column, come standard on the M5. For a premium, BMW offers heated rear seats, vented front seats with massaging features, and four-zone automatic climate control. Regarding storage, the M5 features practical compartments in the interior, and during our testing, its trunk carried six carry-on luggage. The inside of the CS model is more race-inspired and boasts distinctive style, badging, and lightweight carbon-fiber front seats with plenty of bolstering. It's also the first M5 with only four seats; the rear bench of the standard M5 is replaced by two bucket seats. 2022 BMW M5: Connectivity The M5's 12.3-inch touchscreen controls the most recent version of BMW's iDrive infotainment system. It is managed by the driver using a rotary knob on the center console. A Wi-Fi hotspot and basic Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity are both included in the system. All variants include a wireless device charging port and a 16-speaker, 600-watt Harman/Kardon audio system. The 16-speaker, 1400-watt Bowers & Wilkins sound system, and rear-seat entertainment system are available for those who prefer a more luxurious arrangement. 2022 BMW M5: Engine and Performance The base model of the M5's twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 produces 600 horsepower. This number rises to 617 or 627 horses in the Competition or CS variants, which are more track-focused. Although we haven't yet sat in the CS, we have strapped our testing equipment to the normal M5 and Competition models. Both exceeded our expectations because of their incredible stopping power, sports car-like cornering grip, and brutally rapid acceleration. The Competition also demonstrated its superiority over the standard M5 during the 2019 Lightning Lap competition on the Grand Course at Virginia International Raceway. The all-wheel-drive system is strange, and the M5 devout will miss the defunct manual gearbox, but this BMW features a high-tech motor that can direct all of its torque to the rear wheels for fun with the tail. Here, lively, precise steering and a well-controlled, albeit harsh ride improve driving enjoyment. That doesn't mean the M5 can't also serve as a luxury sedan, though, since it glides serenely and is incredibly quiet inside in Comfort mode.

  • 2022 Audi A8 Review: Specs and Pricing

Overview The 2022 A8 sedan is Audi's response to the Mercedes-Benz S-class. Its roomy interior and abundance of luxuries and conveniences help to defend its nearly six-figure starting price. Fans of the smaller A4 and A6 sedans will find the A8 attractive because of the skillfully executed style that makes it look ritzy but understated. Audi's other obvious challengers, the S-class, and BMW 7-series offer comparable space and features in their cabins, which is significantly more pleasant than those four doors. Both front and back passengers can have massaging seats, and Audi comes standard with several driver aids. The performance-focused S8 model should be considered by drivers looking for more oomph. What has changed for 2022? For 2022, the styling of Audi's flagship sedan is overhauled with a new grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, updated exterior lighting fixtures, and new wheel designs. Additionally, an S-line exterior aesthetic kit is now offered, which gives the A8 a somewhat sportier appearance. New interior trim options have been offered by Audi, and new back entertainment displays are also available. Pricing of 2022 Audi A8 2022 Audi A8 Starts at $86,500. The Performance model 2022 Audi S8 is Priced at $116,900 Which one to Purchase? If you choose to purchase Audi's top-of-the-line luxury sedan, order it with the Luxury package to get features like heated back seats with power lumbar and massage functions, a leather-wrapped dashboard, all-wheel steering, and more. Additionally, we recommend the Executive package, which includes interior ambient lighting, blind-spot monitoring, a head-up display, a heated steering wheel, and massaging front seats. 2022 Audi A8: Interior and Comfort The A8 is known for its impressive passenger space, and the roomy back seats are made possible by the long wheelbase. Standard seating for the vehicle is for five passengers, but an additional four-passenger seating package eliminates the back center seat and adds two power-adjustable rear seats with heating, ventilation, and massage features, as well as heated footrests and two personal entertainment tablets (while reducing power adjustments for the front passenger seat to make room for all that). You can request extended leather and a small forest's worth of wood inlays, and there are plenty of fine materials available. The inside atmosphere of the A8, however, is somber and less opulent than that of the Mercedes S-class, much like the A8's exterior. 13 cubic feet is a small amount for a large luxury sedan's trunk space. 2022 Audi A8: Connectivity Both the 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit instrument cluster and the 10.1-inch and 8.6-inch haptic center screens with the MMI Touch Response system are standard on Audi vehicles. Since most operations are handled via touchscreens, the audio system just has one volume knob. Initial confusion may result, but the system is quick to respond and highly adjustable, allowing owners to select their dedicated buttons on the bottom screen while providing permanent buttons for radio, navigation, weather, and phone operations on the left side of the upper screen. Just be aware that trying to remove fingerprints will wear out the supplied microfiber wipe. Two USB connections up front are equipped with both data and charging capabilities, and both Amazon Alexa and Android Auto phone connectivity are standard. Audi Connect Plus offers Wi-Fi for an extra monthly subscription price. 2022 Audi A8: Engine and Performance The A8 has a 335-horsepower turbocharged V-6 engine that is supplemented by a 48-volt hybrid system. All-wheel drive and eight-speed automatic transmission are standard. The A8 we tested accelerated from 0 to 60 mph on our test track in 5.3 seconds. That places the A8 a few tenths slower than the BMW 740i and the Mercedes-Benz S500 among six-cylinder executive sedans. Although Audi's engine is smooth, there is no fanfare to its power delivery, and sound-deadening measures are so effective that the engine is nearly undetectable with the windows up. The A8 offers a sporty yet comfortable ride that is highly reminiscent of Audi. Standard features include an adjustable air suspension and driver-adjustable adaptive dampers. This configuration separates you from road imperfections while still allowing the Audi A8 to rip down a back road when the mood strikes.

  • 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Review: Specs and Pricing

2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5: Overview A brand-new all-electric compact crossover with cutting-edge technology, a futuristic appearance, and a flexible interior is the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5. The 2022 Ioniq 5 is the first EV model to use the Ioniq label, which was originally intended to be a Hyundai subbrand. It offers outstanding charging rates (up to 350 kW) and an estimated 303-mile driving range. The EV Ute has a power range of 168 to 320 hp and is available with rear- or all-wheel drive. The Eco-friendly Ioniq 5 is a well-rounded package deserving of an Editors' Choice award and an ideal match for our 2022 EV of the Year thanks to its tech-focused dashboard, reclining front seats with footrests, and ample passenger capacity. Pricing of 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Hyundai Ioniq 5 prices start at $43,650. The Ioniq 5's basic pricing isn't excessive when compared to comparable all-electric SUVs like the Ford Mustang Mach-E ($42,895), Volkswagen ID. 4 ($39,995), and Tesla Model Y ($58,990). The MSRP for the Ioniq 5 Limited starts at $50,600. Which one to Purchase? With a standard-range battery and rear-wheel drive, the 2022 Ioniq 5 starts at slightly over $40,000. Nevertheless, we believe the SEL model, which has a 320-hp dual-motor configuration and an EPA-rated 256-mile driving range, is the one to choose. It also has a larger battery pack. A hands-free power liftgate, faux-leather seats, ambient inside lighting, a heated steering wheel, wireless charging, and more are included as standard. 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5: Power and Performance The Ioniq 5 has an all-electric drivetrain with a range of power options. A single electric motor installed at the back of the vehicle and the standard-range battery together provide 168 horsepower. The rear-drive arrangement produces 225 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque with the longer-range battery, which according to Hyundai will accelerate the Ioniq 5 to 60 mph in 7.4 seconds. The all-wheel-drive model has 320 horsepower and a significant 446 pound-feet of torque, making it far more potent and quicker. At our test track, it accelerated to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The Ioniq 5 we tested proved to be smooth on a variety of road surfaces, and its broad for EV tires paired with a low center of gravity made it seem agile moving side to side. We simply wish the suspension was a little stiffer and the steering offered greater feedback. 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5: Range, Charging, and Battery Life The Ioniq 5's range with the basic 58.0-kWh battery pack is predicted to be 220 miles. The larger 77.4 kWh pack has a range of 303 miles with a single engine and 256 miles with two. On our real-world range test at 75 mph, the dual-motor model covered 210 miles on a single charge. When hooked into a DC fast charger, Hyundai claims the larger battery can be recharged from 10 to 80 percent in about 18 minutes; it is also said to add 68 miles in about five minutes. 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5: Interior and Comfort The Ioniq 5's inside features a tech-savvy environment with a digital dashboard and a significant amount of Eco-friendly materials, albeit it isn't as artistic as the cabin previewed by the Hyundai 45 Concept. One fancy feature is a head-up display with augmented reality that can project navigation instructions onto the windshield. The all-electric small crossover makes the most of its packing by having a floor that is fully flat for the most amount of the passenger and baggage room. While the Ioniq is charging, passengers may unwind in the front seats, which also recline and have footrests. The 5 has more front and rear seat passenger space thanks to a wheelbase that is longer than the Hyundai Palisade's third row. On top-spec Limited trims, the spacious center console slides back and forth between the front seats and features plenty of storage space. Six carry-on bags, plus 20 with the seatbacks stowed, fit behind the back seats of the vehicle. For comparison, the hybrid Hyundai Tucson's top speed was 22. 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5: Connectivity The Ioniq subbrand, according to Hyundai, promotes connected living, and the Ioniq 5 includes a wide range of cutting-edge connectivity and infotainment capabilities. A 12.0-inch touchscreen and a 12.0-inch digital gauge cluster are located on the same dash panel, however, the former serves as the center of entertainment. This includes cutting-edge voice recognition technology and smartphone-integrated apps like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

  • 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Review: Specs and Pricing

OVERVIEW Although it has long-standing blue-collar roots, the 2022 Range Rover's luxurious interior and first-rate curb appeal are intended to draw in wealthier, white-collar buyers. Although it has taken years for this leather-lined limousine to change, it has now reached a position where its beginning price of almost six figures appears reasonable. Luxury materials like leather, wood, and densely piled carpets can be seen throughout the cottage. And there is a ton of technology. Customers may select between a powerful 523-hp twin-turbo V-8 engine or a turbocharged inline-six engine, but all models come standard with off-road-capable features like an all-wheel-drive system, rear-wheel steering, and an air suspension that can be lifted for more ground clearance. Although few Range Rover owners would dare to travel too far from paved roads, having the option to do so is indeed a pleasure. Strangely, until inventory runs out, this new generation of Range Rover, which was introduced for the 2022 model year, will be sold alongside a 2022 model of the previous generation. What has Changed for 2022? Not to be mistaken with the outgoing model, which is also 2022, the brand-new 2022 Range Rover is completely rebuilt with modernized styling, new tech features, and opulent accents. For the 2023 model year, a more opulent and more customizable SV trim will be added to the lineup. There aren't many alterations made to the current-generation Range Rover for 2022, which is also a model year and is still in production. The new Range Rover lineup no longer offers the diesel V-6 or plug-in hybrid P400e models, leaving only the turbocharged inline-six and the supercharged V-8 as available powertrains. A more powerful cabin air-ionization system is now an option for buyers. 2022 Range Rover: Pricing One of the most expensive base prices in the luxury large SUV class is the $92,000 starting price of the 2022 Range Rover. The most potent V8 variation of the Range Rover starts at roughly $180,000, with the majority of variants retailing for more than $100,000. The long-wheelbase model's starting price ranges from $117,500 to $211,000, but thanks to a lengthy list of options, and trim can increase in price by tens of thousands of dollars. Which one to Purchase? We advise choosing the mid-range Autobiography model because it includes some desirable extras that premium consumers would value. For instance, the Autobiography has a 1600-watt Meridian stereo system with headrest-mounted speakers and active noise suppression as standard equipment. Both a short-wheelbase and a long-wheelbase body variant of the new Range Rover will be available; we advise choosing the latter because it makes way for the third row of seats and offers a larger cargo area. 2022 Range Rover: Interior and Comfort The new Range Rover model features a luxury interior decked out in rich leathers and woods, similar to previous generations, but customers who prefer a more environmentally friendly interior may now choose a new leather-free alternative, which substitutes wool or other fabrics. Depending on the arrangement and wheelbase, the cabin can accommodate seating for four, five, or seven people. Even in long-wheelbase trims, the third row may not suit tall people due to a lack of headroom, but shorter passengers and children will find it to be almost as comfortable as the second row. The Range Rover's split rear liftgate may be used as practical and comfortable seating for outdoor activities, and a motorized cargo compartment divider is an optional feature that helps keep cargo from rolling around excessively during transportation. 2022 Range Rover: Connectivity A new 13.1-inch curved infotainment display with Land Rover's most recent Pivi Pro interface is included in all models of the new Range Rover. The technology includes Amazon's Alexa voice assistant in addition to wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In-dash navigation, wireless phone charging, Sirius XM satellite radio, and a 13.7-inch digital gauge display are further standard amenities. It includes a Meridian stereo system with 35 speakers and a rear-seat entertainment system with two 11.4-inch monitors. 2022 Range Rover: Engine and Performance At first, three different powertrains will be offered for the new Range Rover, starting with the P400, a turbocharged inline-six with a 48-volt hybrid system that produces 395 horsepower. It proved to be silky-smooth on our initial test drive and had enough oomph to pull the big Range Rover around. The Range Rover's towing capacity is increased to 8200 pounds with a 523-hp twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 engine that Land Rover calls the P530. A 434-hp plug-in hybrid option will be added to the roster for 2023, offering up to 48 miles of electric-only range; an all-electric variant will be offered to begin in 2024, according to Land Rover. The 2018 Range Rover has a comfortable ride and nearly floats down the road when its adjustable air suspension is in Comfort mode. Even after switching to Dynamic mode, the large Rover still prioritizes comfort during its mission. We'll update this article with test results as soon as we have the opportunity to drive the Range Rover on our test track. While this is going on, consumers may still be able to find the discontinued Range Rover hiding on a few dealer lots for a reasonable price.

  • 2022 BMW X5 M Review: Specs and Pricing

Overview The 2022 BMW X5 M is built for scorching laps with its 600+ horsepower and track-tuned chassis, but you'll probably see it doing lukewarm circles in mall parking lots. This is due to the mid-size BMW X5's wildest version's ability to switch between a luxury family hauler and a craziness machine in a split second. Even though its design isn't as daring as the X6 M's slanted back, it still has a bigger cargo area, and both body types offer luxurious interiors with first-rate amenities. Additionally, they both have an impressive automated transmission, a powerful twin-turbo V-8, and rear-biased all-wheel drive. The X5 M defies the rules of physics with its acceleration, cornering grip, and stopping power thanks to performance enhancements and orchestration by BMW's renowned M division. It is the reason why some people are unfazed by its six-figure price tag or gripe about its uncomfortable ride. The rest will give way to the BMW M5 sedan, which is more conventional. What has Changed for 2022? BMW modifies the X5 M somewhat for 2022, adding improved Bluetooth technology to every model and removing wireless device charging from the list of standard amenities. Some minor improvements include new Dravit Grey Metallic vehicle paint, Silver stone Extended Merino leather upholstery, and altered option packages. 2022 BMW X5 M: Pricing The BMW X5 M is available at a starting price of $2,60,213. The car is available in 1 variant, with 1 engine option and 1 Transmission option. Which one to Purchase? We advise investing the extra money in the Competition package for improved results. It has more horsepower, a louder exhaust system, a special Track mode, and bigger rear wheels and tires as standard equipment. Additionally, it adds padding to the edges of the center console and even finer leather upholstery to reduce knee bruising during sharp corners. 2022 BMW X5 M: Engine and Performance Every X5 M has a monster hiding under the hood. Two turbochargers are forcing air into the 4.4-liter V-8 there, allowing it to produce 600 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. Another 17 ponies are included in the Competition package. An eight-speed automatic transmission and a variable all-wheel-drive system are standard on every X5 M. The latter gives the driver the option of increased agility in the rear-biased track mode or maximum traction at all four wheels. Adaptive dampers and a pair of 21-inch wheels are included as standard features. However, there is also the option for individuals who like a staggered pair of rollers with 22 inches out back. The Competition package comes standard with the larger rear wheels. Our test drive of a Competition-equipped vehicle was impressive because of its eye-watering acceleration and sports-car-like cornering grip. 2022 BMW X5 M: Interior and Comfort The X5 M's interior is superbly finished and equipped with a wide range of attractive amenities. Behind its leather-wrapped steering wheel, which houses a set of paddle shifters and red M drive-mode switches, is a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Standard features include heated front armrests, an expansive head-up display, ambient inside lighting, and racy materials. For an additional fee, one can add features like finer leather upholstery, heated and cooled front seats, heated back seats, and more. There is plenty of room for passengers in the front and back seats, and the luggage section behind the back row is large enough to accommodate 11 carry-on suitcases. 2022 BMW X5 M: Connectivity Each X5 M boasts an extensive infotainment system and a tonne of connectivity options. A 12.3-inch touchscreen that can be operated with hand gestures, voice commands, and a rotary controller in the center console is used to display the company's iDrive software. A Bowers & Wilkins sound system is an add-on to the standard Harman/Kardon audio system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and other features.

  • 2022 BMW 7 Series Review: Specs and Pricing

Overview The 2022 BMW 7-series ticks many boxes if you're searching for a big car to drive, notably for its roomy and comfortable cabin that can be equipped with a wide range of luxury options. All models have a smooth powertrain, which ranges from an inline-six in the base 740i to twin-turbo V-8 and V-12 possibilities. There's even a plug-in hybrid variant, which can run on electricity for up to 17 miles before switching to its gasoline engine. The largest BMW sedan prioritizes comfort, so there isn't much for drivers to do to pass the time, but the 7-series excels as a cruiser because of its smooth ride, which easily masks road imperfections. What has Changed for 2022? Buyers can now acquire the remote-control parking capability separately, which is the only modification in store. Apart from that, the BMW flagship sedan is unaltered until 2021. 2022 BMW 7 Series: Pricing The rear-drive 2022 740i's Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is $86,800. Including the $995 destination fee, the total comes to $87,795. All-wheel drive adds an extra $3,000 to the price Which one to Purchase? The lead-footed among us may disagree, but the 740i's standard powerplant, a turbocharged inline-six, is ideal for this car's laid-back personality. It's the one we'd choose because it has plenty of gumption when you need it and is otherwise quiet and smooth. Additionally, its cheaper beginning price frees up cash for some opulent interior options. To relax and let the car do some of the work, we would spend extra money on the Driving Assistance Professional package, which includes a semi-autonomous driving mode that is very helpful in traffic jams. 2022 BMW 7 Series: Interior and Comfort The interior design of BMW vehicles has been considered professional for many years. When its cars were more focused on the serious business of driving, that was okay. The more recent 7-series lacks that mentality, allowing occupants to notice build quality, materials, and design that are only average for this expensive segment. Yes, it is roomy, but every limousine in this class is. It's opulent, but after a few miles in a Mercedes-Benz S-class or even a Genesis G90, you'll want more from a vehicle with a starting price of more than $80,000. The BMW's 18 cubic feet of trunk space is numerically at least two cubic feet larger than those of rivals like the Cadillac CT6 and the G90. The truth, however, is rather different: we could only fit three carry-on baggage within the trunk of our 740i test car, whereas the other sedans could accommodate twice as many. 2022 BMW 7 Series: Connectivity BMW's iDrive infotainment system has long since grown past its early kinks to develop a clear, appealing user experience. The most recent version, known as iDrive 7.0, can be operated using the touchscreen or an easy-to-use interface on the center console. It's preferable to use the touchscreen or rotary controller because the system can recognize specific hand movements for some commands, but our experience with them has ranged from tedious to frustrating. For front-seat occupants, each 7-series provides two USB connections, as well as four 12-volt plugs dispersed around the interior. Bluetooth is standard, and an optional Samsung tablet with a dock that allows for remote access to some infotainment systems is placed between the back seats. Oddly, Android Auto is not available; Apple CarPlay is the norm. 2022 BMW 7 Series: Engine and Performance The top two features on the short list of highlights are engines and transmissions. From the 740i's 320-hp turbocharged inline-six to the M760i's incredible 601-hp twin-turbo V-12, every engine in this lineup is incredibly smooth and seems more powerful than its stated horsepower capacity. Even the 745e plug-in, which combines an electric motor and turbocharged six-cylinder engine, manages to drive with a natural feel that is lacking in most hybrids. Every 7-series has a different version of the same eight-speed automatic transmission with quick shifts. The 740i can be equipped with all-wheel drive (or xDrive in BMW marketing lingo), but the remainder of the lineup comes standard. No matter whatever drive mode you choose, the suspension is excessively soft and there is little body control. The 7-series has ample cornering grip, but exploring it is discouraged by the suspension's overall movements and the light, insensitive steering in particular.
