  • 2023 Tesla Model X Review, Specs, and Pricing

Overview The 2023 Tesla Model X delivers the performance and prestige expected from the Tesla brand, but its appeal is waning in today’s competitive luxury electric SUV market. With new contenders like the BMW iX and Rivian R1S offering better value, the Model X faces stiff competition. Tesla offers three variants of the Model X: the dual-motor Standard Range with 670 horsepower and a 269-mile range, the Long Range model with an estimated 348-mile range, and the high-performance Plaid version, which boasts a staggering 1020 horsepower and a 333-mile range. While the Model X impresses with its rapid acceleration and solid driving range, its interior falls short of the luxurious experience expected at its price point, making it a tougher sell compared to more affordable and opulent rivals. What has Changed for 2023? For 2023, the Tesla Model X introduces a new key card, though the traditional car-shaped fob is still available as an optional add-on. A standard steering wheel is now offered at no additional cost, and existing owners can opt for a $700 retrofit. Tesla has also brought back the Standard Range model, featuring a more affordable price and a 269-mile driving range. Aside from these updates, the Model X remains largely unchanged for the new model year. 2023 Tesla Model X: EV Motor and Performance The base 2023 Tesla Model X is equipped with two electric motors—one on each axle—providing all-wheel drive and impressive speed. Tesla claims a 0-to-60 mph time of 4.4 seconds for this setup, but in our testing, we achieved an even quicker 3.3-second run. The high-performance Plaid variant, featuring a 1020-horsepower, three-motor configuration, is said to hit 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, though we haven't yet confirmed this at our test track. When we tested the Model S Plaid, the sedan counterpart to the Model X, it reached 60 mph in a staggering 2.1 seconds. While the Model X offers decent handling, its standout feature remains the powerful acceleration provided by its electric motors. 2023 Tesla Model X: Battery Life, Charging, and Range The 2023 Tesla Model X comes standard with a battery that provides an estimated 269-mile driving range. The Long Range model features an even larger battery, offering up to 348 miles per charge. However, opting for the high-performance Plaid model reduces the estimated range to 333 miles. Recharging is fast and convenient at Tesla's nationwide Supercharger network. For home charging, while it’s slower using a 240V or 120V connection, it's often more convenient for owners. To accommodate this, Tesla offers in-home charging equipment for purchase. 2023 Tesla Model X: Interior and Comfort The 2023 Tesla Model X features a sleek, nearly buttonless interior design that’s quintessentially Tesla. The driver is presented with a digital gauge display and a distinctive yoke-style steering controller, which many find frustrating and difficult to adjust to. Fortunately, a regular steering wheel is available at no extra cost. One standout feature is the expansive windshield/glass roof that extends from the base of the hood up and over the front seats, offering an almost uninterrupted view of the road and sky. However, despite these high-tech elements, the Model X's cabin is underwhelming, especially considering its hefty price tag. Issues such as non-descript air vents, misaligned panels, and flat-backed seats with limited adjustability detract from the luxury experience expected in this price range. 2023 Tesla Model X: Connectivity The 2023 Tesla Model X's interior is centered around a massive touchscreen infotainment system that dominates the dashboard, controlling nearly all of the vehicle's features and settings. Complementing this is a secondary digital display directly in front of the driver, serving as the gauge cluster. While Tesla's infotainment system is undeniably advanced, it lacks support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Passengers in the rear seats have access to their own small display, offering entertainment options and some control over the car's features. 2023 Tesla Model X: Pricing The 2023 Tesla Model X is priced from $81,630 to $110,130, depending on the selected trim and options. Model Price Long Range $81,630 Standard Range $90,130 Model X Plaid $110,130 Which one to Purchase? The Plaid model, equipped with three electric motors, promises blistering acceleration, but this performance comes at a steep price. Additionally, its 333-mile estimated driving range falls short of the less expensive Long Range model. To save money, we'd opt for the Long Range Model X, which offers an impressive 348-mile estimated range while still delivering excellent speed. 2023 Tesla Model X: Warranty Tesla provides a robust warranty for the Model X, focusing on the powertrain and hybrid components. However, it doesn’t include the extensive bumper-to-bumper coverage or complimentary scheduled maintenance found with the Jaguar I-Pace. Limited Warranty : 4 years or 50,000 miles Powertrain Warranty : 8 years, with no mileage limit Scheduled Maintenance : No complimentary scheduled maintenance included. 2023 Tesla Model X Specifications Feature Model X Model X Plaid Acceleration (0-60 mph) 3.8 seconds 2.5 seconds Top Speed 155 mph 163 mph Range (EPA est.) 335 miles 311 miles Powertrain Dual Motor Tri Motor Peak Power - 1,020 hp Drag Coefficient 0.24 Cd 0.24 Cd Towing Capacity 5,000 lbs 5,000 lbs Additional Features Feature Description Autopilot Advanced driver-assistance with adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and automatic lane change. • 2024 Tesla Model S Review, Specs, and Pricing

Overview As Tesla ventures into innovative products like the Cybertruck, the 2024 Model S continues to shine as the brand's flagship luxury EV. Boasting a maximum estimated range of 405 miles per charge, the Model S stands among the top in electric vehicle efficiency. Its blend of outstanding performance and agile sports-sedan handling ensures a thrilling driving experience. However, competition in the electric vehicle market is intensifying. Rivals like the Lucid Air are making significant strides, offering greater range, comparable performance, and a more luxurious cabin. Despite this, Tesla's prominent reputation and extensive Supercharger network provide a substantial edge. These factors, along with the Model S's cutting-edge features and remarkable driving range, maintain its strong position in the luxury EV market. What has Changed for 2024? Tesla hasn't announced any changes to the Model S lineup for 2024—yet. Known for its spontaneous updates to the lineup of electric vehicles throughout the model year, Tesla keeps details in flux. Therefore, the information on this page is subject to change. Should any revisions to the Model S occur during the year, we will promptly update this story with the latest details. 2024 Tesla Model S: EV Motor and Performance Equipped with an electric motor on both the front and rear axles, the Tesla Model S 2024 delivers full-time all-wheel drive across all versions. The acceleration ranges from outstanding in the standard model to unbelievable in the higher trims. The standard Model S is celebrated for its agile sports sedan characteristics, featuring well-controlled body motions and precise steering. Drivers can select between two settings for heavy or light steering effort, though neither provides enhanced road feedback. One drawback is the optional yoke-style steering wheel, which is poorly integrated and detracts from the driving experience; however, a conventional steering wheel is available at no extra cost. Despite this, the Model S offers good ride comfort, adept handling, and a confident, almost tranquil highway driving experience. 2024 Tesla Model S: 0-60 MPH In our tests, the Tesla Model S demonstrated incredible acceleration, reaching 60 mph in a blistering 2.4 seconds. The Plaid version, featuring a third electric motor, achieved an astonishing 60 mph in just 2.1 seconds. These figures highlight the unmatched performance capabilities of the Tesla Model S 2024, setting new standards in the electric vehicle market. 2024 Tesla Model S: Battery Life, Charging, and Range Beneath the Tesla Model S 2024 lies a battery pack that ensures a low center of gravity and evenly distributed weight between the front and rear axles. Driving range varies across different models, with the Long Range version offering up to 405 miles per charge and the Plaid model delivering up to 359 miles. The only electric sedan surpassing these ranges is the Lucid Air, with high-end models estimated to provide up to 516 miles per charge. 2024 Tesla Model S: Interior and Comfort Starting at around $80,000, the Tesla Model S 2024 offers a level of luxury that buyers would expect at this price point. While the cabin's atmosphere is pleasant, it doesn't match the plush interiors of rivals like the BMW i5 and Mercedes-Benz EQE. The Model S's sloped roofline cleverly conceals a rear liftgate, revealing a spacious 26-cubic-foot trunk. In our tests, we fit eight carry-on-size cases without folding down the rear seats. Although small-item storage throughout the interior is limited, particularly in the back seat, this is compensated by a large underfloor bin in the rear cargo area. 2024 Tesla Model S: Connectivity Fans of modern minimalism will adore the Tesla Model S 2024's cabin, which features a giant infotainment screen that controls nearly all vehicle functions. This design appeals to technophiles, though it's not without its drawbacks. The screen's position on the dashboard may require some drivers to lean forward to reach icons, especially those near the top-right corner. Unlike the less expensive Model 3, the Model S includes a secondary display for the gauge cluster and a small touchpad in the rear seat, adding to its high-tech appeal. 2024 Tesla Model S: Warranty Tesla offers a comprehensive warranty package for the Model S 2024, covering its powertrain and hybrid components. However, it lacks the extended bumper-to-bumper coverage and complimentary scheduled maintenance packages offered by competitors like the Jaguar I-Pace. Limited warranty : Covers four years or 50,000 miles Powertrain warranty : Covers eight years and unlimited miles Complimentary scheduled maintenance : Not included 2024 Tesla Model S: Pricing The 2024 Tesla Model S is priced starting at $76,630, with the cost reaching up to $91,630 based on the chosen trim and options. Trim Price Long Range $76,630 Model S $76,630 Plaid $91,630 Which one to Purchase? For the 2024 Tesla Model S, we'd recommend the Long Range model, offering an impressive estimated range of 405 miles per charge. While the ultra-high-performance Plaid model is certainly enticing with its rapid acceleration, its six-figure starting price may not offer the best value. Unless you specifically desire a vehicle with dragster-like speed, the Long Range model provides a better balance of range and cost. 2024 Tesla Model S: Specifications Feature Long Range Plaid Acceleration (0-60 mph) 3.1 seconds < 2 seconds Top Speed 155 mph > 200 mph EPA Estimated Range 405 miles 396 miles (with 19-inch wheels) Motors Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive Tri-Motor All-Wheel Drive Power 670 hp 1,020 hp Charging Supercharging capable Supercharging capable

  • 2023 Audi Q5 / Q5 Sportback

Overview The 2023 Audi Q5 stands out in the SUV market much like the Apple iPhone does in the tech world: it's renowned for its precision, performance, and sophisticated design. While other luxury SUVs boast similar technology and more striking aesthetics, the Q5 guarantees satisfaction—especially for those who aren't focused on sporty handling. It offers three powertrain options: a standard 201-hp turbocharged four-cylinder with Quattro all-wheel drive, a more powerful 261-hp four-cylinder, and a 362-hp plug-in hybrid for even faster acceleration. The Q5 caters to tech enthusiasts with its array of digital features and driver assistance technologies. For those seeking more excitement, the sportier SQ5 (reviewed separately) may be more appealing. However, keep in mind that competitors like the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Porsche Macan deliver a more engaging driving experience but come with a higher price tag than the Q5. What has Changed for 2023? Audi has updated the Q5 lineup this year with several feature changes. Adaptive cruise control is now standard across all models. Premium Plus trims now include a Bang and Olufsen stereo system, while the plug-in hybrid “55” models are equipped with OLED taillights. Additionally, Chronos Gray has been replaced by Quantum Gray in the Q5’s exterior color options. 2023 Audi Q5: Engine and Performance The 2023 Audi Q5 40 comes equipped with a 201-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a seven-speed automatic transmission, and Quattro all-wheel drive as standard. Upgrading to the Q5 45 boosts the horsepower to 261, delivering ample power for city driving and highway acceleration. In testing, the Q5 45 achieved a swift 0-60 mph time of 5.5 seconds. The plug-in hybrid variant combines an electric motor to produce a total of 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, clocking an impressive 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds, outpacing the performance-oriented SQ5 Sportback by 0.3 seconds. The Q5's suspension is well-tuned, providing a stable and controlled ride across various road conditions, even on rough surfaces, whether equipped with the optional adaptive suspension or not. The steering is precise and light, though it lacks feedback from the front wheels. In Dynamic drive mode, the steering gains weight but still feels artificial. While the Q5 handles corners competently, the Porsche Macan offers a more engaging driving experience. 2023 Audi Q5: Interior and Comfort The 2023 Audi Q5 offers ample room for four adults to travel comfortably and boasts numerous upscale features, even in the base Premium model. The cabin remains quiet at high speeds and is designed for easy entry and exit. Upgrading through the trim levels—Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige—adds more luxurious features, including Audi's advanced Virtual Cockpit digital gauge cluster. In terms of cargo space, the Q5 performs modestly. It surpasses the smaller Porsche Macan but only slightly, accommodating 18 carry-on cases with the rear seats folded. The Q5's rear seatbacks fold easily in a 40/20/40 split, offering flexibility that the Lexus RX lacks. 2023 Audi Q5: Connectivity Even buyers of the most affordable 2023 Audi Q5 will appreciate its intuitive infotainment system showcased on a 10.1-inch dashtop screen. The base model includes essential infotainment features such as a Wi-Fi hotspot and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Upgrading to the Premium Plus or Prestige trims adds Audi's Virtual Cockpit, a reconfigurable digital gauge cluster. This advanced feature offers a 12.3-inch display for the navigation map, media, phone controls, trip computer, speed, and tachometer, or a combination of these, enhancing the driving experience significantly. 2023 Audi Q5: Pricing The 2023 Audi Q5 is priced starting at $45,395, with higher trims and additional options pushing the price up to $66,495. Trim Level Price Premium 40 $45,395 Premium 45 $47,895 Premium Plus 40 $50,595 Sportback Premium 40 $52,195 Premium Plus 45 $53,095 Sportback Premium Plus 45 $55,795 Prestige 40 $56,095 Premium 55 PHEV $56,595 Prestige 45 $58,595 Sportback Prestige $60,895 Premium Plus 55 PHEV $61,195 Prestige 55 PHEV $66,495 Which one to Purchase? Audi distinguishes the Q5's powertrains with the numbers 40, 45, and 55: the first two refer to the standard turbocharged four-cylinder engines, while the third indicates the optional plug-in hybrid setup. Buyers can choose between the regular Q5 and the coupe-like Q5 Sportback. We recommend the mid-range 45 models for their balance of performance and value. Among these, the Premium Plus trim stands out for offering the best combination of features and price, and it includes Audi's Virtual Cockpit digital gauge display as standard. 2023 Audi Q5: Warranty Audi's warranty coverage for the Q5 is average, with many luxury SUV rivals offering longer coverage periods. Competitors like the BMW X3 and the Volvo XC60 also include complimentary maintenance plans. • 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron / Q4 e-tron Sportback

Overview If you're shopping for an electric vehicle, the 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron and Q4 e-tron Sportback should be on your list. With the rear-wheel drive 40 model offering up to 265 miles per charge, these Audi EVs cater to most daily commuting needs. The Q4 e-tron provides a spacious, practical cabin similar to the gas-powered Q5, while the Sportback version offers a stylish design with slightly reduced cargo space. Although rivals like the Volvo XC40 Recharge and Tesla Model Y deliver longer driving ranges, the Audi Q4 e-tron stands out for its tech-filled cabin and elegant styling. Discover the perfect blend of range, style, and technology with the 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron. What has Changed for 2024? The 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron lineup now includes standard adaptive cruise control with lane-centering and paddle shifters for easy regenerative braking adjustments. Premium models with the Convenience package feature a programmable garage door opener, which is also standard on Premium Plus and Prestige trims. Audi has introduced the Q4 e-tron 55 models, replacing the 50 models with more powerful and efficient electric motors. The new 55 powertrain delivers 335 horsepower and an estimated range of 258 miles, improvements over the 50 models by 40 hp and 22 miles. Production of the 55 powertrain starts soon, with availability in Audi showrooms expected by spring 2024. 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron: EV Motor and Performance The 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron 40 comes equipped with a single 201-hp electric motor driving the rear wheels. Although we haven't tested this setup yet, our experience with the similar Volkswagen ID.4 was underwhelming. The Q4 e-tron 50 and Q4 e-tron Sportback 50 models, featuring all-wheel drive with electric motors on both axles, deliver 295 horsepower, while the new 55 models offer an enhanced 335 horsepower. On the road, the Q4 e-tron provides a smooth and comfortable ride with a tight turning radius for decent maneuverability. However, it lacks excitement, feeling heavy in corners with somewhat artificial steering feedback. 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron: Battery Life, Charging, and Range The 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron features a 77.0-kWh battery pack, delivering up to 265 miles per charge with the single-motor 40 powertrain. The all-wheel drive 50 powertrain offers a range of 236 miles for the SquarebackThe powertrain appears more lethargic at highway speeds and 242 miles for the Sportback. The newly introduced Q4 e-tron 55 boasts more efficient electric motors and an estimated 258 miles per charge. In our tests, the Q4 e-tron 50 achieved 190 miles on a 75-mph highway route. All models support 150-kW fast charging, reaching 5 to 80 percent in 36 minutes, although slower than the Genesis GV60's 18 minutes. Our Q4 e-tron 50 test model charged from 10 to 90 percent in 44 minutes, averaging a DC Fast-Charge rate of 87 kW. 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron: 0-100Kmph In performance tests, the 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron 50 reaches 100 kmph in 5.6 seconds, notably faster than the 7.9-second estimate for the Q4 e-tron 40, yet still behind the gasoline-powered Audi Q5 SUV. The Q4 e-tron 50's powertrain feels robust for city driving, though its initial acceleration is less intense than competitors like the Tesla Model Y and Volvo XC40. At highway speeds, the powertrain appears more lethargic, especially during passing maneuvers. The new 2024 Q4 e-tron 55 models are anticipated to deliver better acceleration, and we'll update our findings after testing the new powertrain. 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron: Interior and Comfort The 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron's cabin is a technological marvel, featuring Audi's latest innovations and unique elements like a squared-off steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls. Unlike the concept version, which seated four, the production Q4 e-tron offers seating for five. The interior space is similar to the larger gas-powered Q5, providing ample passenger room and impressive cargo capacity: fitting eight carry-on suitcases behind the rear seats and 22 in total with the seats folded down. Explore the cutting-edge technology and spacious interior of the Audi Q4 e-tron, perfect for both daily commutes and extended trips. 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron: Connectivity The 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron is equipped with Audi's latest MMI system, featuring a standard 10.3-inch digital gauge display and an 11.6-inch infotainment touchscreen designed for driver convenience. Model Price Premium 40 $50,995 Premium Plus 40 $55,695 Premium 50 $56,395 Premium 55 $56,395 Sportback Premium 55 $59,395 Sportback Premium 50 $59,395 Premium Plus 50 $61,095 Premium Plus 55 $61,095 Prestige 55 $63,395 Prestige 50 $63,395 Sportback Premium Plus 55 $64,095 Sportback Premium Plus 50 $64,095 Sportback Prestige 55 $66,395 Sportback Prestige 50 $66,395 Which one to Purchase? When choosing between the regular squareback or the sportier Sportback body style for the 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron, consider opting for the Premium Plus trim. This mid-range option enhances your driving experience with features such as a power-operated liftgate, a four-way power-adjustable passenger seat, SiriusXM satellite radio, a wireless smartphone charging pad, keyless entry, and more. For enhanced performance, we recommend upgrading to the all-wheel drive 55 powertrain, which offers significantly more horsepower than the standard setup. 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron Warranty The Audi Q4 e-tron and Q4 e-tron Sportback will feature the same warranty coverage as the larger e-tron SUV: Limited warranty:  Covers four years or 50,000 miles. • 2025 BMW M5

Overview The 2025 BMW M5 maintains its iconic status as the high-performance variant of the 5-series sedan, but with a significant update: it’s now exclusively a plug-in hybrid (PHEV). This new configuration pairs a powerful V-8 engine with an electric motor, delivering a remarkable 717 horsepower and a top speed of up to 190 mph. Despite its hybrid nature, the M5 stays true to its sports-sedan roots with features like adaptive dampers, optional carbon-ceramic brakes, and multiple drive modes for customizable performance. It also offers an estimated electric-only range of 25 miles per charge. The redesigned M5 combines cutting-edge technology with classic performance, appealing to both new and long-time enthusiasts. What has Changed for 2025? The 2025 BMW M5 sedan is completely redesigned and now exclusively offered as a plug-in hybrid. Built on the latest 5-series platform, the new M5 will also introduce a wagon variant called the M5 Touring, which is eagerly anticipated to hit the U.S. market. 2025 BMW: Engine and Performance The 2025 BMW M5 introduces a new plug-in-hybrid powertrain that combines a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 engine with an electric motor and an eight-speed automatic transmission. This setup delivers a total output of 717 horsepower, a significant increase of approximately 100 horsepower over the previous M5's unassisted V-8. Standard features include all-wheel drive, various drive modes that optimize the use of its propulsion sources, and a rear-wheel-drive-biased drift mode for enhanced performance. Additionally, the M5 comes equipped with adaptive dampers, rear-wheel steering, and massive brakes. During a test drive on a racetrack, the 2025 M5 impressed with its powerful acceleration on straightaways but felt less agile in corners due to its increased weight compared to its predecessor. 2025 BMW: 0-60 MPH BMW estimates that the 2025 M5 will reach 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, but this may be a conservative figure. In our testing, the previous-generation M5 achieved this in under 3.0 seconds, suggesting that the new model could be even quicker. 2025 BMW: Battery Life, Charging, and Range BMW estimates that the 2025 M5's 14.8-kWh battery pack will offer approximately 25 miles of electric-only range on a full charge. The battery can charge at a maximum rate of 7.4 kilowatts, although detailed charging times have not yet been provided. 2025 BMW: Interior and Comfort The 2025 BMW M5's interior closely resembles that of the 5-series sedan, but with distinct enhancements. It features an M-specific flat-bottom steering wheel with customizable M buttons, a red center hash mark, and large shift paddles. Sportier seats provide better support during spirited driving, and unique lighting elements and screen animations distinguish the M5. Various leather, wood, and aluminum trim options are available. The M5 retains the same five-seat layout, iDrive control knob, and large display screens as the 5-series. Standard features include a panoramic sunroof and a Bowers & Wilkins audio system, with an optional lightweight carbon-fiber roof that eliminates the sunroof. 2025 BMW: Connectivity The 2025 BMW M5 boasts a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 14.9-inch central infotainment touchscreen, offering the driver extensive configurable information. The infotainment system runs on BMW's iDrive 8.5 software, featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additional connectivity options, such as video streaming and gaming, are available but can only be used when the car is parked. 2025 BMW: Warranty BMW's warranty and complimentary scheduled maintenance are competitive within the luxury segment: The limited warranty covers four years or 50,000 miles. The powertrain warranty also covers four years or 50,000 miles. Complimentary scheduled maintenance is provided for three years or 36,000 miles. 2025 BMW: Pricing The 2025 BMW M5 starts at a price of $120,675. Model Starting Price 2025 BMW M5 $120,675 Which one to Purchase? The 2025 BMW M5 will debut with a single trim level initially, but enthusiasts can enhance its performance with optional extras. Available upgrades include carbon-ceramic brakes for superior stopping power, along with the M Drive Professional package, which introduces additional drive modes for tailored performance settings. For those seeking even more speed, BMW offers an M Driver's package that boosts the claimed top speed from 155 mph to an impressive 190 mph, catering to drivers looking to maximize their M5 experience on both road and track. 2025 BMW M5 Specifications Specification Description Powertrain Twin-turbocharged 4.4L V8 engine with electric motor, 8-speed automatic transmission Combined Output 717 horsepower, 738 lb-ft torque Electric Only Range Approximately 25 miles Drive System All-wheel drive 0-60 mph 3.4 seconds (estimated) Top Speed 155 mph (limited), 190 mph (M Driver's Package) Wheelbase 118.3 inches Length 200.6 inches Width 77.6 inches Combined Fuel Economy (est.) 16 mpg (gasoline), 50 MPGe (combined) Standard Features Adaptive dampers, rear-wheel steering, high-performance brakes Drive Modes Efficient, Sport, Hybrid Optional M Driver's Package Increased top speed, day at BMW Performance Driving School Interior Heated & ventilated sport seats (standard), panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, connected car technology Driver Assistance Systems Front collision warning, lane departure warning, driver attentiveness assistant Base MSRP $119,500 + $1,175 destination & handling

  • 2024 Genesis G90 Review, Specs, and Pricing

Overview Redesigned in 2023, the 2024 Genesis G90 stands out as the automaker's flagship luxury sedan. While its design echoes the G80 sedan and GV80 SUV with stacked gun-slit headlamps and a modified pentagonal grille, the G90 boasts unique features that emphasize its premium status. Under the hood, a 375-hp twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 powers the G90, with an available high-output 409-hp version that includes an electric supercharger for those seeking maximum performance. Both engine options deliver smooth and refined power, essential for competing in the luxury sedan market. The interior exudes opulence, featuring standard Nappa leather upholstery, massaging front seats, and genuine wood trim. Unique amenities include an onboard fragrance diffuser and an air purifier to maintain a pleasant cabin environment. The G90 offers a ride-and-handling balance suitable for an executive sedan, although its chassis tuning is slightly less sharp compared to top European rivals. What has Changed for 2024? Fully redesigned for 2023, the Genesis G90 continues into 2024 with minimal changes. 2024 Genesis G90: Competitors The G90 competes in a market with few rivals. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class leads the segment, while the BMW 7 Series and Audi A8 are similarly priced alternatives, each offering unique characteristics. The Lexus LS, slightly cheaper, provides a distinct driving experience to complete the lineup. 2024 Genesis G90: Engine and Performance With the previous G90's 5.0-liter V-8 engine no longer available, the 2024 Genesis G90 now features a twin-turbo V-6 in two power levels: 375 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque in the standard version, and 409 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque in the E-supercharged model. The latter utilizes an electric supercharger and a 48-volt hybrid system for added power. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The high-output engine propels the G90 from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.1 seconds, impressive for a large sedan. With 405 pound-feet of torque available at a low 1300 rpm, the G90 effortlessly maneuvers through town. The E-supercharged model includes standard air suspension and a Chauffeur driving mode for an ultra-smooth ride. During our test drive, the G90 E-supercharged with air springs delivered a superb ride and effortless acceleration. While its handling isn’t as sharp as a sports sedan, it remains commendable for its size and avoids the body roll typical of older, larger sedans. Beyond its acceleration, the G90's luxurious interior, extensive list of standard features, and serene driving experience are its standout qualities. However, those seeking a more enthusiast-oriented driving experience may need to look elsewhere. 2024 Genesis G90: Interior and Comfort The 2023 redesign of the Genesis G90 aimed to elevate its interior to compete with luxury rivals like the Audi A8 and BMW 7-series. The completely new interior design features high-quality materials and an array of standard features. Both front and rear passenger spaces are spacious, with standard Nappa leather upholstery. The front seats come with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, while power sunshades, active noise cancellation technology, and premium audio further enhance comfort. Notable additions include an onboard fragrance diffuser and an anti-microbial sanitation system to purify the air. The G90 E-supercharged models also offer reclining rear seats with ventilation and massage functions, ensuring a luxurious experience for all passengers. 2024 Genesis G90: Connectivity The latest Genesis G90 infotainment interface is showcased on a crisp 12.3-inch display, which includes navigation and SiriusXM satellite radio. Additionally, a separate 12.3-inch screen serves as the digital gauge display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, though they require a cord, which is unusual in an era of wireless connectivity. All models feature a Bang and Olufsen stereo system, with the E-supercharged version boasting an upgraded system with 23 speakers and a mode that simulates concert hall acoustics. Other included features are a head-up display and a wireless smartphone charging pad. 2024 Genesis G90: Pricing The 2024 Genesis G90 has a starting price of $90,450, with higher trims and additional options raising the price up to $100,695. Trim Price Base $90,450 E-supercharged $100,695 2024 Genesis G90: Warranty Coverage Type Duration / Mileage Limited Warranty 5 years or 60,000 miles Powertrain Warranty 10 years or 100,000 miles Complimentary Maintenance 3 years or 36,000 miles Which one to purchase? The 2023 redesign of the G90 brought a notable price increase, yet it remains competitively priced below European rivals like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and most BMW 7-Series models. Both G90 variants are fully equipped, with color choices being the primary customization option. The key decision for G90 buyers typically revolves around whether to opt for the more powerful turbocharged and supercharged version or stick with the base model. Choosing the latter is advisable, as the approximately $10,000 premium represents about 10% of the total purchase price in this luxury segment, making it a compelling value proposition. In addition to increased power, this upgrade includes features like an air suspension, reclining rear seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, and an enhanced audio system. 2024 Genesis G90 Specifications Feature 3.5T AWD 3.5T E-Supercharged AWD Engine 3.5L twin-turbocharged V6 3.5L twin-turbocharged V6 with 48V e-Supercharger Horsepower 375 hp 409 hp Torque 391 lb-ft 405 lb-ft Transmission 8-speed automatic 8-speed automatic Drivetrain All-wheel drive All-wheel drive Fuel Economy (city/highway) 18/26 mpg 17/24 mpg Seating Capacity 5 5 Wheelbase 125.2 inches 125.2 inches Length 207.7 inches 207.7 inches Width 76 inches 76 inches

  • 2024 Audi A8 Review Specs, and, Pricing

Overview A hidden gem in the realm of full-size luxury sedans, the Audi A8 exudes a refined yet understated elegance. It offers spacious and comfortable interior accommodations, rivaling those of the BMW 7-series and Mercedes-Benz S-class. The A8’s cabin features a well-thought-out design and intuitive control layout, enhancing its sophisticated appeal. Powered by a turbocharged V-6 engine, the A8 may not match its competitors in speed, but its smooth and quiet performance aligns perfectly with its discreet charm. Superior soundproofing ensures a tranquil ride, keeping occupants refreshed on arrival. Despite its size, the A8 handles winding roads and tight bends with surprising agility. For those craving more dynamic performance and faster acceleration, the high-performance Audi S8 is the ideal choice, covered in a separate review. What has Changed for 2024? Refreshed for 2022, the 2024 Audi A8 enters the new year with subtle enhancements. Every A8 now includes a six-month trial subscription to Audi Connect PLUS, featuring the Audi app store. This software allows remote start via the app and integrates various applications, including music, video, gaming, navigation, parking and charging, weather, and news, into the MMI system. In terms of aesthetics, the new Sebring Black crystal effect paint replaces the previous Vesuvius Gray metallic. 2024 Audi A8 Competitors The Audi A8 competes with familiar rivals in the luxury sedan class: the BMW 7 Series and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Both the BMW and Mercedes have recently been redesigned, offering advanced technology and all-electric variants (the i7 and EQS sedan, respectively). Each of these vehicles provides exceptional comfort and refinement, with the Mercedes focusing more on luxury and the BMW emphasizing performance. 2024 Audi A8 Engine and Performance The 2024 Audi A8 comes equipped with a turbocharged 335-horsepower V-6 engine, enhanced by a 48-volt hybrid system. For those seeking more power, the sportier S8 model boasts a turbocharged V-8 with 563 horsepower. Both models feature an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. In performance testing, the A8 accelerated from zero to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds, slightly behind the last six-cylinder Mercedes-Benz S500 we tested. The A8’s engine is remarkably smooth, thanks to extensive sound-deadening measures. With 331 foot-pounds of torque available at just 1370 rpm, it offers brisk acceleration without straining the engine during normal driving. Standard features include an adjustable air suspension and adaptive dampers, ensuring a blend of athleticism and ride comfort unique to Audi sedans that goes beyond the basic specs. 2024 Audi A8 Interior and Comfort The 2024 Audi A8 offers generous interior space and exceptional passenger comfort, essential features in the full-size luxury sedan category. Its long wheelbase ensures ample room for both front and rear-seat passengers. The standard configuration accommodates five passengers, but there's an optional four-passenger seating package designed for those who prefer to be chauffeured. This option replaces the rear center seat with two power-adjustable rear seats, equipped with heating, ventilation, massage functions, a heated foot-massage feature, and individual entertainment tablets. However, this luxurious rear-seat setup reduces the power adjustments available for the front passenger. The trunk, at 13 cubic feet, is relatively small for a vehicle in this class. Despite this, the A8 boasts high material quality, offering a variety of leather options and a wide selection of wood inlays. The interior, much like the exterior, is elegantly understated, though not as opulent as the Mercedes S-class. 2024 Audi A8 Connectivity The 2024 Audi A8 continues to feature the MMI Touch Response system with a 10.1-inch upper and 8.6-inch lower haptic center screen. Most functions are controlled via these touchscreens or the steering wheel controls, but a traditional volume knob remains on the console for quick and intuitive audio adjustments. Despite the dual touchscreens being potentially daunting, they respond swiftly and are highly customizable. Owners can set up dedicated buttons on the lower screen and utilize permanent buttons for navigation, weather, telephone, and radio on the upper screen's left side. However, the screens are prone to fingerprints, which can be difficult to clean. The A8 is equipped with two USB ports for data and charging in the front, and it supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa integration as standard. Wi-Fi is available through Audi Connect Plus. Additionally, Audi’s 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit instrument cluster, known for its clarity and brightness, comes standard. 2024 Audi A8 Pricing The starting price of the 2024 Audi A8 is $91,995. Which one to Purchase? If you're opting for Audi's flagship luxury sedan, enhance your experience by selecting the Comfort Plus package. This package includes: Dual-pane acoustic glass for side windows to reduce noise Massaging front seats Heated armrests Heated outboard rear seats A head-up display HD Matrix-design LED headlights For those seeking a sleek, stealthy look, the Black Optic Plus package is an excellent choice. It features: High gloss black exterior trim Black Audi rings and badges Black brake calipers Unique 21-inch 10-spoke design wheels Additionally, if you desire adaptive cruise control with lane-keeping, remote parking, and a heated steering wheel, be sure to opt for the Executive package. 2024 Audi A8 Warranty Although the 2024 Audi A8 is designed to make you feel special, its warranty coverage is fairly standard for the luxury sedan segment. For those prioritizing long-term warranty protection, the Genesis G90 offers a more extensive package with up to 10 years or 100,000 miles of warranty coverage and three years of free maintenance. Audi A8 Warranty: Limited Warranty: 4 years or 50,000 miles Powertrain Warranty: 4 years or 50,000 miles Complimentary Scheduled Maintenance: Not included 2024 Audi A8 Specifications

  • 2024 BMW 7-Series Review, Specs, and Pricing

Overview The 2024 BMW 7-Series stands out with its bold exterior design while maintaining the core qualities that have made it a favorite for generations. This luxury sedan combines powerful engine options—a turbocharged inline-six, a plug-in hybrid, and a twin-turbo V-8—with a focus on comfort and a feature-rich, spacious cabin. The 7-Series offers impressive agility, especially with the rear-wheel steering system, but the true luxury experience is in the back seat. Passengers can indulge in high-end tech features, such as the optional 31.3-inch rear entertainment display that retracts from the ceiling, providing access to streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. Whether driving or being driven, the 2024 BMW 7-Series ensures a luxurious and enjoyable ride. What has Changed for 2024? The 2024 BMW 7-Series lineup now includes the plug-in hybrid 750e model, which comes standard with all-wheel drive. This model boasts a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor, delivering an impressive combined output of 483 horsepower. BMW estimates the onboard battery will provide over 35 miles of electric-only driving range. Additionally, the 740i model is now available with all-wheel drive, and the 7-Series infotainment system has been upgraded from iDrive 8 to the more advanced iDrive 8.5, enhancing the overall driving experience. 2024 BMW 7-Series: Competitors Germany has long dominated the realm of flagship sedans, with Audi's A8 and Mercedes-Benz's S-Class engaged in a perpetual rivalry with BMW's 7 Series in terms of features and technology. Mercedes-Benz tends to prioritize relaxation over sportiness compared to BMW, while Audi strikes a balance between the two, thanks to adjustable suspension and drivetrain settings that have minimized differences in driving dynamics and comfort. Outside of the German trio, the Genesis G90 offers a comparable level of luxury and refinement at a more accessible price point, albeit with less prestige. On the other hand, the Lexus LS 500 presents a unique interpretation of luxury, drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese art forms like cut glass and textured metal, which distinguish it from its European counterparts. Each of these sedans brings its own blend of craftsmanship, technology, and driving experience to the competitive landscape of flagship luxury vehicles. 2024 BMW 7-Series: Engine and Performance The 2024 BMW 7-Series offers a range of powerful engine options, starting with the 740i, which features a 375-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine paired with a 48-volt hybrid system. Rear-wheel drive is standard for the 740i, with the option for all-wheel drive (xDrive). BMW estimates the 740i can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds. The 750e xDrive plug-in hybrid model combines a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with an electric motor, producing a total of 483 horsepower. At the top of the lineup, the 760i xDrive is equipped with a 536-hp twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8 engine and comes standard with all-wheel drive. This model also includes a 48-volt hybrid system and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a remarkable 4.2 seconds. In testing, the 760i xDrive achieved this sprint in just 3.5 seconds, showcasing its impressive performance and smooth operation. The 2024 7-Series features an air suspension as standard, along with a rear-wheel steering system and adaptive dampers, enhancing agility and comfort. While it handles better than its size might suggest, the 7-Series prioritizes a comfortable driving experience over sporty dynamics. 2024 BMW 7-Series: Battery Life, Charging, and Range BMW claims that the 750e xDrive plug-in hybrid should achieve over 35 miles of electric-only driving range before the battery needs recharging, although the EPA has yet to confirm this estimate. Details on the battery size and charging specifications are not available at the moment, but we will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available. 2024 BMW 7-Series: Interior and Comfort As the pinnacle of BMW's lineup, the 2024 7-Series offers a wealth of luxurious features. The interior exudes sophistication with rich leathers, stainless steel accents, and elegant glass and wood trim elements. For those seeking a unique touch, a new cashmere upholstery option is available. This deluxe interior, brimming with technology and style, positions the 7-Series as a strong competitor to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Generous passenger space in both the front and rear ensures comfort, but the 7-Series truly shines with the Executive Lounge package. This package includes power-adjustable reclining rear seats with massage functions, a wireless smartphone charging pad for the rear seat area, and adjustable neck cushions on the headrests. The trunk is spacious, fitting for a full-size luxury car, and features a rear-seat pass-through for transporting longer items like skis. 2024 BMW 7-Series: Connectivity The 2024 BMW 7-Series features a dashboard layout similar to that of the iX SUV, with a large digital gauge display and an infotainment touchscreen mounted under a single glass panel. These reconfigurable displays offer high-resolution visuals and quick responsiveness. The latest iDrive 8.5 infotainment interface comes standard, and it supports over-the-air updates, allowing for seamless software upgrades as BMW releases new features. An optional rear-seat entertainment system, known as Theater Screen, includes a massive 31.3-inch display that descends from the car's ceiling. This system uses an onboard 5G cellular data connection, enabling rear-seat passengers to stream Netflix, browse the web, and interact with the system through touchscreen displays integrated into the door panels. 2024 BMW 7-Series: Pricing The 2024 BMW 7-Series starts at $97,395, with prices reaching up to $122,295 depending on the chosen trim and options. This range reflects the variety of configurations and luxury features available in this premium sedan. Which one to Purchase? The 2024 BMW 740i features a smooth and refined inline-six engine, likely to satisfy most buyers. However, for those seeking additional horsepower, the 760i xDrive offers a powerful twin-turbo V-8. If you plan to use your 7-Series for chauffeured travel, consider the Executive Lounge package, which includes power-adjustable reclining rear seats with massage functions and other luxuries. Additionally, the 31.3-inch Theater Screen rear-seat entertainment system, capable of streaming content via the car's on-board Wi-Fi hotspot, is a must-have. An all-electric variant called the i7, based on the same body shell, is also available and reviewed separately. 2024 BMW 7-Series Specifications 2024 BMW 7-Series: Warranty The 2024 BMW 7-Series includes a notable perk that its rivals from Audi and Mercedes-Benz do not: a three-year or 36,000-mile complimentary scheduled maintenance plan. This plan ensures that routine maintenance costs are covered for the initial years of ownership, providing peace of mind to buyers. Both the Volvo S90 and Genesis G90 also offer a similar complimentary maintenance plan, matching BMW's offering in this regard. However, the Genesis G90 surpasses BMW with longer warranty terms: Limited warranty: Four years or 50,000 miles Powertrain warranty: Four years or 50,000 miles Complimentary maintenance: Three years or 36,000 miles These warranty and maintenance plans contribute to the overall value proposition of each luxury sedan, catering to different preferences and priorities among potential buyers.

  • 2024 BMW XM Review, Specs, and Pricing

Overview The 2024 BMW XM SUV aims to achieve the highest standards of both performance and luxury. Under its distinctive front grille, you'll find a twin-turbocharged V-8 engine paired with a plug-in hybrid system, delivering an impressive 738 horsepower. This powertrain propels the XM from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. Additionally, the XM can operate on electric power alone for short trips, making it ideal for errands. The interior is lavishly appointed, offering comfort, space, and advanced technology, including a curved dashboard display and the latest driver-assistance features. While it excels in straight-line speed, the XM doesn't match the driving excitement of BMW's M3 and M5 sports sedans. However, if sharp cornering isn't a priority, the XM's combination of style and power is hard to beat. What has Changed for 2024? The 2024 lineup introduces the even more powerful BMW XM Label model, featuring a 738-hp variant of the XM's plug-in hybrid powertrain. BMW claims this increased power enables the XM Label to reach 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. However, this estimate may be conservative, as the standard 644-hp XM has already achieved 60 mph in 3.4 seconds during tests. The XM Label will come with a significant price premium over the base model, with official pricing details expected just before it reaches dealerships at the end of 2023. 2024 BMW XM: Competitors BMW's XM competes directly with familiar rivals like the Audi RS Q8 and SQ7, along with Mercedes-Benz's AMG GLE 63 S. These competitors offer a blend of comfort and performance, although they are generally lighter and more refined than the XM. Potential buyers might also consider Porsche Cayenne models, BMW's Alpina XB7, and the Cadillac Escalade V for their luxury SUV needs. For those interested in electric options, alternatives include the BMW iX and Mercedes EQE SUV, catering to the growing demand for electric vehicles in the luxury segment. 2024 BMW XM: Engine and Performance The BMW XM's powertrain isn't new, but its combination of a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8 with an electric motor and battery pack produces an impressive 644 horsepower. Our initial test drive highlighted the powertrain's immediate responsiveness, estimating a 0-60 mph time of around 3.8 seconds. However, further testing revealed an even faster 3.4-second sprint to 60 mph. This performance slightly lags behind competitors like the Lamborghini Urus and Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, both achieving 3.2 seconds in our tests. The XM features a coil-spring suspension with adaptive dampers and active anti-roll bars. While it might not offer the smoothness of an air suspension, the Comfort mode ensures a pleasant ride. In Sport mode, the XM delivers responsive and eager handling, making it enjoyable on twisty roads. 2024 BMW XM: Battery Life, Charging, and Range The BMW XM is equipped with a 25.7-kWh battery pack, providing an electric-only range of approximately 30 miles per charge, which closely aligns with our tested result of 29 miles. BMW claims the XM's onboard charger can charge the battery at up to 7.4 kW, allowing a full charge in just over three hours. 2024 BMW XM: Interior and Comfort The BMW XM boasts a luxurious cabin with high-end features, such as optional vintage-look leather upholstery inspired by the concept car. It accommodates two rows of seats, eschewing a panoramic sunroof in favor of a geometric-patterned faux-suede headliner that incorporates fiber-optic lighting for dramatic effect. An optional audio enhancement includes the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System, complete with illuminated tweeters for an enhanced auditory experience. 2024 BMW XM: Pricing The 2024 BMW XM is priced competitively, starting at $159,995 for the base model and reaching up to $185,995 for the XM Label variant, which includes additional trim and options. 2024 BMW XM: Warranty BMW provides competitive coverage with a limited warranty and powertrain warranty both lasting four years or 50,000 miles, along with three years or 36,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance. Which one to Purchase? The BMW XM commands a high starting price, yet it offers a wealth of luxury features that justify its cost. These include premium leather upholstery, impressive 23-inch wheels, a sleek curved infotainment display, and a comprehensive suite of advanced driver-assistance features. 2024 BMW XM Specifications

  • 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class Review, Specs and, Pricing

Overview The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS-class SUV is the epitome of luxury and versatility, perfect for everything from school runs to restocking your wine cellar. The GLS450 model features a powerful 375-hp turbocharged inline-six engine, while those seeking even more performance will be drawn to the 510-hp GLS580 with its twin-turbo V-8. Despite its refined road manners, the GLS surprises with its off-road prowess. Its air suspension system provides extra ground clearance, and advanced all-wheel-drive features ensure stability on challenging terrain. For added protection, optional underbody shielding is available. On the highway, the GLS excels with its agility and smooth ride, offering superior body control that rivals the BMW X7 and outshines competitors like the Land Rover Range Rover and Lincoln Navigator. Whether you're navigating urban streets or rugged trails, the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS-class SUV delivers unmatched performance and luxury. What has Changed for 2024? For 2024, the Mercedes-Benz GLS has received a stylish refresh that includes a redesigned grille, a revamped front bumper, new LED taillights, an updated steering wheel, and fresh interior color options. The GLS450’s six-cylinder engine now delivers 375 horsepower, while the V-8-powered GLS580 boasts an impressive 510 horsepower. Additionally, the GLS580 is now available with a new Off-Road Engineering package, which features underbody protection and an upgraded air suspension capable of raising the SUV by an extra 1.2 inches, enhancing ground clearance for off-road adventures. 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class: Competitors The Mercedes GLS stands out as a top pick among three-row luxury SUVs, earning a spot as one of our favorites. However, if your family requires more cargo space, consider rivals like the Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, and Jeep Grand Wagoneer. For those prioritizing luxury, comfort, and advanced technology, the BMW X7 and Land Rover Range Rover are excellent alternatives. If you're looking for an all-electric option, the impressive Rivian R1S is worth considering. For an in-depth review of the GLS’s comfort, technology, performance, and more, check out the Edmunds Expert Rating below. 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS: Engine and Performance The 2024 Mercedes GLS comes in two models: the six-cylinder GLS450 and the eight-cylinder GLS580, both featuring hybrid elements. The GLS450 is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine, which now produces 375 horsepower, up from 362. The GLS580, on the other hand, boasts a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine, delivering a robust 510 horsepower. In testing, the 2020 GLS450 accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.5 seconds and stopped from 70 mph in a mere 154 feet. Despite its substantial size, the GLS handles twisty roads with ease, though it isn't overly sporty. Standard across all models is an air suspension system, with the option to upgrade to Mercedes’ advanced E-Active Body Control. This system uses a forward-facing camera to detect bumps and adjusts the suspension for a smoother ride, though the standard suspension already performs admirably and should suffice for most buyers. 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS: Interior and Comfort Borrowing its dashboard and cockpit design from the newly updated GLE-class SUV, the latest generation of the Mercedes GLS is significantly more modern than its predecessor. It comfortably seats up to seven passengers, with an option for six if you choose the available captain's chairs. The first and second rows offer generous passenger space, while the third row, although not as spacious as the second, can still accommodate an adult with minimal discomfort—a feat not matched by the third row in the BMW X7. 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS: Connectivity The 2024 Mercedes GLS features two expansive 12.3-inch digital displays dominating the dashboard. One functions as a customizable gauge cluster for the driver, while the other manages infotainment through Mercedes-Benz's MBUX software, equipped with a virtual assistant akin to an iPhone’s Siri. Standard features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, in-dash navigation, and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot. Every GLS model is fitted with a 13-speaker Burmester Surround Sound system, and for those seeking an even more immersive audio experience, an optional Burmester 3D audio system with a staggering 26 speakers is available. 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS: Warranty The GLS-class comes with a standard four-year/50,000-mile warranty, which isn't the best in its class. For instance, the Cadillac Escalade offers an additional two years of powertrain coverage, and the Lincoln Navigator provides four years of complimentary scheduled maintenance with the luxurious Black Label model. Limited warranty: Four years or 50,000 miles Powertrain warranty: Four years or 50,000 miles Complimentary scheduled maintenance: Not included 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS: Pricing The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS-class pricing starts at $88,150 and can reach up to $113,150, depending on the chosen trim and options. Which one to Purchase? The GLS450's turbocharged inline-six offers ample power and is just as smooth as the GLS580's V-8, making it a more cost-effective choice. The savings can be allocated to optional features, such as the Executive Rear Seat Plus package. This package transforms the second row into a luxurious retreat with massaging seats, a wireless smartphone charging pad, a tablet controller for the infotainment system, and plusher headrests. It also enhances safety with side-impact airbags. However, this package requires an upgrade to leather upholstery, which, surprisingly, is not standard. 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class Specifications

  • 2024 Cadillac Escalade Review, Specs, and Pricing

Overview Over the past two decades, the Cadillac Escalade has transformed from a modified GMC Yukon into Cadillac's most iconic model. Now in its third year of the current generation, the Escalade stands out even while sharing its platform with the GMC Yukon and Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban. With luxurious features and performance, it competes head-to-head with high-end rivals like the Lincoln Navigator, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, and Lexus LX600. Notably, it outperformed these competitors in a recent comparison test and secured a spot on the 2024 Editors' Choice list. The Escalade's appeal lies in its smooth ride, confident handling, and powerful 6.2-liter V-8 engine, with an optional torque-rich turbo-diesel inline-six available. Its cutting-edge interior boasts a curved OLED digital display. The Escalade comes in both standard and extended-length (ESV) versions, with the latter offering extra cargo space behind the third-row seat. Additionally, the new high-performance V-series model, introduced last year, features a supercharged V-8 engine delivering an impressive 682 horsepower. What has Changed for 2024? The Cadillac Escalade cruises into 2024 unchanged, with no major or minor updates. It appears Cadillac is focusing its resources on the upcoming electric variant, the Escalade iQ, which is expected to debut later this year. 2024 Cadillac Escalade: Competitors Competitors to the Escalade include the Lincoln Navigator and Mercedes-Benz GLS. The Navigator, available in both standard- and long-wheelbase versions, boasts an interior that rivals the Cadillac's in luxury. While the Mercedes-Benz GLS falls short in interior space and towing capacity compared to the Escalade, its technology and interior materials are top-notch. Similarly, the BMW X7, though smaller, is packed with tech and offers a more engaging driving experience. The Range Rover, favored by British elites, is another strong contender in this high-end SUV segment. 2024 Cadillac Escalade: Engine and Performance Cadillac's flagship SUV, the Escalade, comes equipped with a robust 6.2-liter V-8 engine that produces 420 horsepower and features cylinder deactivation for enhanced fuel efficiency during cruising. An alternative 3.0-liter diesel inline-six is also available. Both engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and buyers can opt for either rear-wheel or all-wheel-drive configurations. Like its counterparts—the Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, and GMC Yukon—the Escalade benefits from an independent rear suspension, which significantly improves third-row legroom compared to the previous model with its solid rear axle. Higher-end trims offer air springs with adaptive dampers for a smoother ride. In performance testing, the long-wheelbase Escalade ESV equipped with the V-8 engine accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.9 seconds. While the 277-hp diesel engine doesn't match the V-8 in straight-line speed, it compensates with better fuel economy and a substantial 460 lb-ft of low-end torque. For those seeking peak performance, the Escalade-V, with its supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine generating 682 horsepower, accelerates to 60 mph in a mere 4.3 seconds. The V-8's powerful output and resonant exhaust note are noteworthy, and although the Escalade-V's suspension enhancements improve handling, it still doesn't quite match the agility of rivals like the Mercedes-AMG GLS63 or the BMW Alpina XB7. 2024 Cadillac Escalade: Interior and Comfort As Cadillac's flagship model, the Escalade sets a high bar for in-cabin luxury. The base Luxury trim features faux leather, while all other trims boast genuine leather, with the Platinum models receiving ultra-soft semi-aniline hides. The interior is further enhanced with leather-covered dash and door panels, aluminum speaker grilles, and adjustable ambient lighting, creating an upscale atmosphere. However, some switchgear is shared with other GM models. The Escalade is available in both standard and long-wheelbase ESV versions, with the ESV offering extra legroom for third-row passengers and additional cargo space. 2024 Cadillac Escalade: Connectivity Cadillac has outfitted the Escalade with advanced electronics, headlined by a digital dashboard featuring three curved OLED displays that together offer 38 inches of digital space. This setup serves both as the driver's gauge cluster and the CUE infotainment system, delivering an integrated and layered look superior to the single-plane infotainment system of the Mercedes-Benz GLS-class. Other notable tech includes an augmented-reality navigation system and an optional rear-seat entertainment package with two 12.6-inch streaming-capable displays.
